  1. True, maybe said a little too early since it ended up working out....I'll eat crow any day of the week if it means a win!
  2. D gave us a chance in the second half...lee just a bit too inaccurate....at this point, by punting, we'd rather play for the 1-2 score loss than actually go for the win...makes us look better losing by 1-2 scores in the national media
  3. Lee is good QB but definitely not NFL ready and not the great passer media made him out to be.
  4. Why put Wilbon in, if he's bad at pass blocking....that was clearly his role in that play...mind-boggling what our OC is thinking sometimes....leave in Bryant or put in Ozigbo who are better at pass blocking
  5. Our d sucks definitely. But, our offensive play calling is just as bad. Everyone should be talking about that as well.
  6. Glutton for punishment...we all just keep coming back
  7. Never heard of that run stuff....doesn't help control the clock/game (sarcasm)
  8. Game comes down to which team has the worst defense....hopefully we fall on the right side of that battle
  9. Spotting them 14 points...in order to set-up an epic comeback?
  10. That's why we need Mav's posts...saves time from reading 100+ related Husker posts on twitter....why go to twitter when all of the material can be sought on Huskerboard.
  11. Disagree completely. First, not everyone has a twitter. Second, some posters do not have the time that to follow 200+ Husker related twitter feeds in order to follow the news. All of Mavric's posts seem at least tangentially related to topics that he posts in. I, for one, really appreciate it, and his posts seem more on point than many of the frivolous posts that are allowed in the forums. It's really not that hard or time consuming. I work 70-80 hour weeks this time of year, and I manage. Get a spouse and some kids. If you already have that, then you are extremely efficient with your time so kudos. I just think that the tweets don't really detract from the board, so I would hate to lose all of that info. Have a wife and three kids.... The tweets don't bother me, neither. Earlier, I was speaking more to there being a new thread for every post-practice presser, and a fall camp update thread for every position. I think that could all be consolidated into fewer threads. The same could be said for the political forums; how many "Trump is terrible" threads do we need? More frequent consolidation would be fine, but I think you are creating more work for Mods who literally voluntarily give their free time for the board. Plus, the decision to consolidate the threads would be totally arbitrary, which would offend certain posters (unless there is some set standard I am unaware of). Regardless if we agree or not, I will say you must be pretty efficient with your time to be able to keep up with all that's going on in your life, so good job on your part!

  16. I think Banker also was recruiting him hard. Regardless, letting go both of those two individuals explains why a NU hat was no longer on tre table.
  17. Yep. Our CBs are 10 yards off and concede any pass 5-6 yards. I do not understand why our corners play off so much. We play soft because we can't cover in man. So better to give up the short stuff. That may be a good initial observation. However, when you are down 10+ points in the fourth quarter, you need to switch it up and play man-to-man tighter. There really is no excuse for the lack of adjustments made.Did you miss the long touchdown pass? The coaching staff doesn't trust our DB's. Not saying I agree with it but it's the reality.Oh no not another touchdown pass! What will we do down 20+ instead of 10+...It is really stupid to argue that the coaching staff shouldn't have made adjustments. I don't care if you don't trust the DBs (which I trust more than our mediocre DL). Sounds like another excuse...I get enough of those at work.If we can't cover in tight man what exactly are they supposed to do? Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of banker but what adjustment are they going to make? The adjustment would be to attempt to play tight man-on-man coverage. You could be right and it might not work. But, in the fourth quarter when you are down, what do you have to lose? Lose by more than estimated? At least you can silence the critics (like myself) and say you tried something different. It's not really Bankers job to worry about what the critics think he should do. It's to give his players a chance to be successful and to win games. He watches them in practice everyday so that's the coverage we play. Which is a huge improvement over last years mess. One could contend that it is Bankers' job to worry about what the "critics" believe he should do ... unless you believe he's been so successful that his job isn't close to being on the line. Honestly, we will simply will have to agree to disagree, unless you want to derail the thread. Hopefully, Banker is successful. I mean I believe we are both Nebraska fans so I hope to eat crow one day! What argument could possibly be made that it is Banker's job to listen to his critics? I don't care how good he gets (or doesn't get), some entitled jackass will whing and cry because he doesn't call enough stunts, or enough blitzes, or this or that upsets them. It is not ANY coaches job to listen to their critics. Sure it is. If the critic is your boss. Also, an inability to adapt and being narrow-minded are not coaching traits I admire.
  18. Idk. I guess I already thought Tenn. fans were cowards. I especially like the guy who acted like he did nothing wrong after he threw the first first punch. Hopefully, he grows some damn stones in the next few years.
