  1. Sweetbabyjesuswithacowlick Motion into trips with TEs..run to TEs side every damn time.
  2. But but but..this D is just correctable, remember?
  3. Did Tanner Lee just try to scramble to get hurt so he wouldn't even have to play in this game?
  4. I didn't think it was possible. I stand corrected.
  5. It's a good thing Barrett plays for Ohio State. He couldn't start in Riley's system.
  6. Bend but don't break. don't give up the TD but a long first down is ok
  7. Here, I think I've figured out our next series 1st slant complete for 5 2nd play action deep route incomplete 3rd swing pass into flat for 2 4th punt
  8. I don't think it's a creative issue, rather it's an issue of being stubborn in the playcalling. Langsdorf has continued to demonstrate his "sling it around the yard" mentality coupled with his West Coast view of a 3-yard running play is a loss. Even when the situation can dictate to go straight ahead for two yards, Langs tries to get cute and gets in his own way. The system is broken and the coaching staff contiues to stick with it. Watch those middle of the pack Pac-12 games and the offense looks eerily similar. Does an offense have to be creative? Not necessarily, but an offense has to be versatile and able to attack from multiple formations in multiple ways. Too many times this offense motions into an unbalanced line with a couple of TEs and the run to the TEs side. It's predictable and teams can game plan for this strategy.
  9. Unfortunately, I say 1-5 but 0-6 is a distinct possibility. I don't think an upset is enough to save Mike Riley's job, and now that Gary Anderson is out at Oregon State (has to be more there) the door is open for Riley to return to his home. How far has this program fallen under MR? Nebraska is a 24.5 point underdog against Ohio State.
  10. I wanted MR to succeed as I want anyone coaching Nebraska to succeed. But it's eerily evident this coaching staff is out of touch. No leadership from the sideline, and it never looks like MR is coaching anyone. We were told "wait 'til Riley gets his guy to run his system," and now he has his guy, but the system doesn't work. The Dorf wants to throw the ball around like it's 7-on-7 flag football and his play calling is suspect at best. The staff continues to not make glaring adjustments when getting torched over and over. They stubbornly stay with the same idea on both offense and defense; i.e. passing on 3rd and short or having DBs play 10 yards off the receiver. The culture has shifted to the "losing is acceptable as long as you played the team close" Pac-12 mentality. And the mentality goes to coaching.
  11. I just head Diaco say, "Everything's correctable." OK, so freaking correct it already. This is midway point of the season and it hasn't been corrected? I think this coaching staff doesn't have a clue more and more of the time.
  12. We're Oregon State on the backside of Mike Riley. Maybe upset one team we're not supposed to beat, but mostly take it on the chin. I feel sorry for MR, because he's a geniune nice guy, but he also looks he's looking for Waldo in the crowd. I think he's out of touch because if he wasn't at some point he would stop Dorf from his play calling. After all, Dorf's season as OC for the Giants took Eli's numbers down from the previous season.
  13. There is a DCoord here at a small NAIA school in KS who used to coach with the UCF RB coach. The UCF RB coach has said all of the coaching staff wives have started talking/planning the move to Lincoln. Take it with a grain of salt
  14. I'm tired of this scheme. I'm tired of Dorf airing it out as much as possible. I'm tired of a Charmin soft OL. I'm tired of Mike Riley.
  15. The throw hit Oz in the right shoulder pad. It's a bad throw.
  16. Over O/U on YOLO bombs called on 3rd and 2 or less: 2.5
  17. Holy crapballs! A blitz with tight man coverage!!! Who are we?
  18. Good run by Wilbon to get the first all on his own
  19. Good to see the offense is getting back to predictable...motion in the TEs, play action. I'm waiting for another twins stacked run to the overloaded side of the line. When this happens, it's Jammal Lord checking to the option all over again.
