Jeff Tedford is no longer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well. Solid recruiter and pretty good offensive guy IIRC. Ties to Riley. Openly stated yesterday that he wanted the OSU job. Hope he gets it......... Tedford hasn't been good since Aaron Rodgers left.

Being hired on Thursday morning and waiting until Sunday night to contact committed recruits seems like a long time to me. He could have easily dropped each one a 5 minute call on Friday after the presser to let them know he would honor their scholarship and to let tell them to hang tight for a few days when he would have more info for them.

I was in a big month end close meeting. Get back to my desk and see about 50 texts... Shocked would be the correct word. Sounds like he is the anti-Pelini, aka the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Lee B's article on Monday (?) said that the hire was going to be someone with a "positive" demeanor, and I guess this fits that. I'm going to hold off judgement for a couple years and see where he gets us. No sense whining about it now. Let's get the recruiting class filled out. And only 275 days until BYU. Looking forward to the ride!

I can get behind Whittingham. I just wondered in the Coaching Discussion thread why he wasn't getting mentioned.

I know I dare not say it in the Sock thread, but I just can't see Tressel coming. With Eichorst talking about values and such at the presser, I find it hard to beleive that it will be Tressel. Add to that no one in the Nebraska media seems to be getting behind it, it just seems too far fetched.
