Half? More like a quarter full or three quarters empty and leading in three places I am afraid. This one is really tough as the team may lose faith and slip further down hill next week. A road trip for a MUST win now. We go to 2-5 (Huskers have not been there since Ike was President I am guessing). The old record books that are stored down in the basement of the old library building that was closed in '68 are needed now.

Not really any positive in this one for me. I am a die hard Husker and can almost always find something to say was good. Today? Nothing comes to mind. The punting was pretty good with only one or two that went into end zone instead of inside the twenty. but the rest of special teams are still NOT special at all. To win games against good opponents (Wisconsin is good, not great certainly): you need: 1. Run effectively. 2. Pass the ball efficiently. 3. Play solid defense through at least three of the four quarters. 4. Win the special teams phase by making your field goal and extra points, kicking the ball deep into end zone and tackling the returners before they reach the 25, and punting the ball deep into their territory and NOT into the end zone repeatedly and keeping all "Net PUnt' distances above 40 yards, and making at least one successful fake or block or other special teams 'big play'. We are not doing these things and the latter two never!

This is the first loss this year where I personally feel we deserved to lose - by several TDs really. they ate us up the second half and we sucked offensively for about 80% of the game. Again, we lost the special teams phase. this one remains a head scratcher to me as we have talent there. Why oh why can't we win special teams.

This one is tough. a bowl game getting more and more ify guys! The offense died when we hit better defenses in conference. The defense ended up giving up a bunch and let them drive and score repeatedly entire second half. We had about 4 minutes of good offense and 20 minutes of bad offense. The worst part of Riley's offense is that we use almost no time clock when we 3 and out. Often we have two incomplete passes and one competion that goes out of bounds. Sometimes don't even use one minute. Our defense never gets a break.

Given up almost 500 yards today. Awful the second half. We don't deserve to win no matter the outcome of this final kick.

The field goal range is there now. Game set and match. Another bitter loss.

Putting cross in with Jano gave that play a chance as everybody expects cross to crunch up there for a short yardage run up the gut. they missed Jano. but, we scored way too early. Game is still in grave jeopardy. Defense must stop them 3 & out. then handle a punt. then down the ball three times and burn up as much clock as possible. then punt them back about 60 yards and stop them again.

Penalties again are deadly. This is just pathetic. No offense almost entire game.

The offense is downright offensive. This is awful at best.

1st and five and we throw incomplete.

Well, the only way we win this is a turnover or bone head play by them. We are done! Coaches played not to lose and lost, again!

Full back trap call terrible on that play.

Well, if they have any clever play calls left at all, we better use them to make a 14 play 75 yard, 10 minute long drive. Got to use clock and score a TD. No ties. Win the freaking game on this possession and burn up the entire quarter. No more excuses. Time to manage the game. We have blown this game again. the strongest team is winning. Our defense has played hard. Offense has let us down big time. Special teams has lost again too.

The team is about through - fold em up and chuck it.

Penalties killing us again. Still give the opponent a dozen extra tries.

Why do we all feel the team is gonna fold again? Ugh.

Playcalling the third quarter has been terrible by Huskers. Ugly.

I still feel like we are playing not to lose instead of trying to win. Wisconsin is still the agressor. We gave up trying to make plays seemingly. But I have to listen to the game with Gary Sharp descriptions. He just has no ability to convey how the game is really going.

More crappy clock management IF that wind is real. I am doubting it based on the field goal and right there. We should have punted with the wind or threw for the first. Why let the clock and wind run out and now punt into the wind.

Stupid stretch plays don't work - maybe once in four tries. Rest are losers.

Obviously the wind is not that serious as their crappy kicker who barely kicks off to the goal line kicks 45 into the wind easily. These announcers just can't give the straight scoop on the games. I get sick of the BS to make excuses.
