  1. Nice win -- now let's get rested and healed and ready for the Hawkeyes!
  2. In other news: Mad about a pass interference call, his team down 3 w/ ball, Pelini drew 2 unsportsmanlikes in the final 30 seconds.
  3. Indiana up 26-24 on Michigan halfway through the third.... Oklahoma State down 10 vs. Iowa State heading into the 4th
  4. Go get 'im in the hot tub and get him rested up for Iowa
  5. Langsdorf almost seems like he's trying to purposely give the game away sometimes.
  6. Langsdorf is like a heroin addict. He just can't help himself.
  7. Why are we throwing at the end of the half? WHY?
  8. Hopefully they can keep this up all game long --- sure would be nice to be confident and playing well headed into the Iowa game!
  9. That may have been the best coverage/play by our secondary this entire season
  10. Hopefully the staff is finally catching on to the type of balance we need on offense.
  11. Gotta keep our foot on their throat and not let up.
  12. Never thought that the quote "can we beat Rutgers" would ever be associated with this program. That being said, I expect to win handily.
  13. If we keep Banker, we're in for many more defensive letdowns. Really makes me wonder what our record would be right now if we had a legit DC.
  14. I honestly won't be too excited if we're 5-7 and go to a bowl. On the other hand, I'll be overjoyed if we're 6-6 and go to a bowl, because it'll mean we have beaten two undefeated Top 10 teams, and it'll be a glimmer of hope we need going into next season. If it's in Fort Worth, I think I'll make the drive from Louisiana.
  15. I'm not an advocate of a 5-7 team making a bowl game. However, if we go 6-6 after beating two undefeated top 10 teams then I'd be elated.
  16. After that squib kick, if MSU would've come back and kicked a FG to win, just think of how ballistic the fans would've been. The coaches were VERY fortunate that it didn't come back to bite them in the ass.
  17. thats how its supposed to work. In all sports. At all levels. Coaches coach. Players play. Gawd. Players should never have to "bail" out their coaches for their poor decisions. It should be the other way around.
  18. Scarlet N' Cream -- 48 Scarlet Knights -- 14 Rush:166 Pass: 299
  19. You're just bitter you sold off your tickets Nope. I'm realisticThen be realistic and celebrate a great win I celebrated my ass off, but we need to stop this craziness with "the team is gonna click and win out." It didn't make sense in week 5, week 6, week 7, week 8, or week 9. You are just setting yourself up for disappointment. We shouldn't be celebrating this win like it's a bowl game. We're 4 and 6 and need to win out to make a bowl. So hooray, we beat Sparty. It's the caramel topping on the giant heaping sh#t that is the entire season. But hey, we won. I'm happy we won. I stayed out way too late drinking and celebrating. I understand the perspective, but honestly where is the fun in that? Being a fan of a team is supposed to be fun!!!! Next year you will say, be realistic, they won't have a magical season...win the west undefeated Iowa style...pull an upset in the B1G championship and play for a natty title. You will probably be correct in that they will go 8-5 or 9-4. But where's the fun in that prediction? Being right and holding it over other people's heads? STOP!!! Be a fan. Dream big. Get your heart broken. Enjoy big wins. Dream big again. Do it because you love it. Not so that you can prove that your high school football experience and the sideline you stood on at an NAIA program makes you a better fan. Sorry, but I disagree with that perspective. If that's the way you want to approach things, great. I, however, prefer to keep a more realistic perspective. That way the margin for disappointment and letdown is much smaller, and big wins feel even bigger.
  20. Believing in the boys has never been the issue. I was thrilled about the outcome and glad that these players finally had one go their way. That being said, I'm just not going to heap praise upon the coaches for last night's performance, because there were still way too many mistakes and questionable calls made which shouldn't have been made. The question asked was if this was the click. Id have to say no. Yes things went our way last night, but with those same types of errors we'll still lose just as many as we win.
  21. That all of the talk about us having inferior talent is pure BS.
  22. I still think it was a HUGE risk. Giving them the ball at their own 41 kinda defeats the purpose of trying to limit their success in the return game.
