  1. Looks like Coach Pelini is tearing it up in the minors. http://ysusports.com/sports/fball/2015-16/releases/ysu-at-pitt-recap I can go all night.....brah.
  2. And, I guarantee, Frost was offered the job. But, he's not here.
  3. Frost was my first pick as well. However, why would Frost leave a winning program that he could inherit, all while knowing the culture and offense? Not to mention have his groove set for recruiting?
  4. This is pure BS. It has nothing to do with Pelini. He's gone. Sayonara. Adios. MR may have not been the PERFECT selection for NU, but he's what we have. Four games, and everyone writes him off. Oh, look at TO's record his first year. We hail him as a God now..... Dont ever compare TO to MR. for your education In his quarter-century as head coach, Osborne was a model of consistency. His teams never won fewer than nine games in a season, only finished worse than third in conference or division play once, finished in the top 15 of the final AP poll 24 years out of 25 (having finished 24th in 1990), and were ranked in every single weekly AP poll barring one week in 1977 and two in 1981. Osborne's teams won outright national championships in 1994 and 1995, and a share of another in 1997. Osborne's Huskers also won or shared 12 Big Eight Conference titles and one Big 12 Conference title. His 255–49–3 record gave him the best winning percentage (83.6%) among active NCAA Division I-A coaches at the time of his retirement and the fifth-best of all time. Respectfully, I know all about TO's record. I lived breathed, ate that chiznet since I was 10. The NCAA isn't what it was back then. Perennial powerhouses remained so because of scholarship rules. It is an entirely different situation now than what it was back in the Devaney/Osborne heyday. I know that Osborne was nearly ousted as HC because he couldn't deliver what Devaney did. That's the cold hard truth. Now, we either settle that we need a coach that can push us into the new NCAA style of recruiting, play, and fan interaction, or we keep switching coaches every five or six years searching for glory days. It's a new era. A new time. Totally different rules and atmosphere. Ya it is a NEW ERA so why hire a coach older then when TO reitred? I can go all night brah. So, then, which coach would you have picked to lead us into the promised land?

  7. Look at it this way: Took the boy to his first Husker game last year v. Minnesota. We lost. Boy didn't care. Spent his hard earned part-time job money to surprise the old man and get tix to the Michigan State game this year. Why? Because he had a helluva good time. He loves the Huskers. He loves the tradition. Chances are, he'll take his kids to their first Husker games. Win or Lose. Oh, and he was born in Texas, the heart of Longhorn Land. How's that for infectious grooves?
  8. Kinda what I thought. There's one in every crowd.
  9. Would u go and see a husker team at.500 Yes. Because I am a Husker Fan through and through. Trophies are nice. Loyalty is forever.
  10. Glad you enjoyed it. You're welcome anytime. We pride ourselves on this gem called "Gameday".
  11. Didn't make the cut for season tix this year, but trying again next year. I will up my contribution for 2016, but how does this work out if I do get accepted? Will I get a choice from the seats in my contributor level? Or, will I simply be assigned seats? Thanks, in advance.
  12. Marinade/Poultice: 16 oz Montreal Steak Seasoning 1 16 oz bottle of Lea and Perrins 1 bottle Kitchen Bouquet Gravy Starter 4 oz Kikkoman Soy Sauce Mix all ingredients until a thick, dark consistency Pour over 15lb rib roast until evenly covered, overnight. Next morning, remove from fridge, let the surface reach room temp, about 65 degrees. Take another bottle of Montreal Steak seasoning, and gently "push" seasoning onto surface until about one quarter inch thick. Smoke at 350 degrees until 140 degrees internal, Roll entire roast over white hot wood coals until charred. Rest for 20 minutes. Slice 1" thick. Ends will be medium well, center will be rare.
  13. Competition Style Chicken Thighs Brine: 2qts cool water 1 cup Sugar in the Raw 1 cup Tony Chachere's( or any Cajun seasoning) Blend all ingredients until dissolved. Place chicken into brine for three hours after trimming excess fats. Grill on med-low heat until internal temps reach 180 degrees. Sauce with preheated BBQ sauce of choice.
  14. I mentioned this pass play after pass play last night. Drove me crazy.
  15. That's where I'm at. I'm not concerned with stats for the most part. It's tough to judge against competition that isn't on the same level as the better teams in the B1G, but minimization of penalties and more efficient play-calling can still be noticed. Penalties. Ugh. No stupid, blatantly flagrant, intentional grounding calls.
  16. I have the Huskers picked 42-13, but I would love to see the upper closer to the 60 mark. Big plays. We need them. Not only to boost confidence in the running game, but also the defense. Now, what do we do about our kicker? The two shanked FG's last week was a major downer for Husker Nation. The kid definitely isn't exactly like his big bro. It's my daughter's first home game this weekend, so I'm down with anything that gets the Sea of Red shaking the Earth.
