  1. Need a BIG stop here....my hunch says a wide open completion.
  2. Guess what Banker, they're going to pass every time.
  3. I just don't understand how the WRs are wide open all the time.....I just don't.
  4. Hey at least we aren't getting blown out in a big game!
  5. Does the defense wake up now??!!!!???? Let's go D!!!
  6. Actually call was good, play was great, Armstrong just couldn't make the throw.
  7. I swear guys I'm not langsdorff posting while on the sidelines.
  8. Great awareness by Armstrong to not hike it when MSU was in the backfield
  9. Win or lose, by golly gee wiz guys these boys played hard! Hip hip hooray! Granola bars and Capri Suns for everyone after the game!
  10. Well we are in the red zone, time to pass the football!
  11. So we should find out soon if this rumor has any legs whatsoever. I recall reading the source said Riley could be gone after an embarassing loss to MSU?
  12. if Riley is still in a hotel, he shouldn't even bother in buying a home. What's one more year in a hotel? Should save him in the long run.
  13. I understand if you dont like your new coach, and i understand if you want to transfer or quit due to the reasons. But being a Senior, you have 3 games left, you seriously are just going to up and quit on your teammates, some of which you have played with for 4 years....? I don't get that logic at all.
  14. Not sure how you can't respect Steve Spurrier, sure I didn't like the guy in the 90s because his teams were competing with Nebraska's but he was harmless at South Carolina. I didn't say I don't respect him but yeah, he's not my favorite guy either. Always kind of struck me as a whiner. He did get better while at SC. And I do think it's good for our program that he is visiting now that he's retired. But you gotta admit, ten years ago it would've been a totally different story on this board. All the nice comments just struck me as funny. oh I agree with you, 10 years ago it is much different.

  16. Frost makes sense. He's young and energetic, and would bring passion to Nebraska since he played here. He knows the culture and history which he could share with pride and passion to current players and recruits. I heard stories where he would show nebraska highlights from the 90s to Mariota. He also comes from the "cool" school of Oregon so recruits would listen and be intrigued to see if they could bring that to Nebraska. He isn't going to use Nebraska as a stepping stone for anything. I think he would be smart and bring in competent assistants. Most of all, he would bring this program hope. Which is desperately needs right now. His network of coaches onclude Tom Osborne and Chip Kelly. Oregon has had one of the best runnning games in the last 8 years of colllege football, most all top rated RBs now want to go play for the Ducks. IMO, Frost should have been picked last year, and I think when Eichorst went to Oregon he accidentally picked the wrong coach from the state. But, if we are able to break free from Riley next year, I guess it wouldn't have been all bad since Frost was able to get one more year under his belt for experience. The only hesitation I see from many about Frost is his inexperience at the HC position, because we just dumped Pelini who never had HC experience before. But I think Frost would be much, much different. Oh and Oregon is on our schedule the next two years. Would be a great advantage to have someone with knowledge of the system.
  17. Of course there will be consulting going on, Spurrier is a great coach with a ton of knowledge, he and Shawn Eichorst are friends, and are attending a football game together. So yes, consulting will be talked about, they will talk football, it's what friends do at a football game. It can only help, so who cares. This is a neat deal, a legendary coach getting his first visit to Lincoln to catch a game. My hunch is Spurrier will thoroughly enjoy it, and we may get some good kuddos quotes about the atmosphere on Monday. Although, I like the move, I think its a good thing Eichorst did, in the grand scheme of things given the current state of everything, very odd timing. So of course there will be speculation.
  18. I still can't believe that. Missouri was high off a win against Oklahoma I believe. Yeah think you are right, they had just beaten Oklahoma. But not sure how great OK was that year.
  19. If Riley is 7-2 right now I am not complaining. I predicted worst case scenario was a 7-6 season. a current 7-2 record and I would be pretty hopeful Nebraska could beat Rutgers and Iowa. Pits us at 9-3 going into bowl game. I would liked our chances in a bowl to go 10-3. That is a fantastic first year. Of course I thought with his ability to do more with less at Oregon State, and inheriting a 9-4 team, with all the resources the program has, i thought 7-6 was the worst he possibly could do with all his experience. How wrong I was. I guess if Nebraska wins out my prediction for worst case scenario could still be true.
  20. Pearlman should stick it out till retirement only because I dont know if the school would have to pay him millions as well to leave early. Seems to be a big reason of not firing Riley is the buyout. Well, does Pearlman have a buy out too? Let him stay, but don't let him make any big time decisions.
