This is depressing and sadly not surprising...frost really needs to evaluate his performance...the team is not ready to play and that falls squarely on his shoulders.

Let us face it...Illinois came ready to play and Frost and his team seemed over confident and now they are punched in the face...will they respond...I hope so but I doubt it given how they played so far...so disappointing

We continue our long proud tradition of making mediocre teams look like world beaters...are we ever going to learn?

You severely underestimate Wisconsin...in my honest opinion, the current Wisconsin team reminds me a lot of our beloved Huskers of the 80s and 90s. They play to their strengths and the adapt to each opponent they play. I really hope we can be like them. They don’t beat themselves...they have solid defense, and are very disciplined. Wisconsin coaches have done miracles with the talent they get. Think about it. Their talent pool of recruits is not as strong as penn state, Ohio state, or Michigan, yet I give them a decent chance at beating any of these teams in any given Saturday. Northwestern is simply boring...they bore you until you lose. Had Luke started that game, we would have beaten them with a young team. I do not understand all the hype about northwestern. I am confident that Wisconsin will dominate them. Wisconsin’s coach understands his talent and is able to get the most out of his players. Frost can learn a lot from him.

I am not buying the 14 point favorites crap...let’s be honest with ourselves...our win on Saturday is going to be the norm for the next two seasons. Meaning, our wins will mostly be ugly, nail-baiting, ulcer inducing slugfests where we pull a win by a touchdown, a field goal, or a point after. We are not going to dominate anyone yet. The times when we beat teams by five touchdowns are long gone. We should be happy as long as we keep winning even if it is an ugly win. I will take an ugly win over a horrible loss any day. I believe that we will win this game but it will be very close...similar to the game between Illinois and Rutgers. And of course, for us to really win, we need to have a game with less than 5 penalties and no turnovers. This team needs to get a few tough wins under their belts. They are still young and hopefully the more games they win, the more hungry they will be to win more games. I pray to God that Saturday was a turning point and we can get a few more wins this season.

Wisconsin just annihilated Michigan at their home turf. They will wipe the floor with Northwestern...wait and see

DOMANN, Honas, and Williams had an excellent game today. I can honestly say that they won the game for us. Their energy was infectious and they showed heart. Luke played well but can still improve and he will. He is still young and that is why it is important for Frost to invest in this young talent. However, in my opinion, the problem has been the bad play calling on the part of Frost, especially in the red zone. We are still missing some more weapons on offense. We miss good receivers like Spielman and Frost failed to get our receivers more involved. The one time he did, it resulted in a touchdown. Why stop and go back to the predictable QB draw down the middle time and time again. That was lazy, sloppy and lackluster on the part of Frost. My hope is that this win energizes our team and most importantly Frost realizing he needs to improve as a play caller because the future of the Huskers depends on that. I personally did not buy his excuses in the presser. He was not very convincing.

Here is what I learned: (1) Luke should start every game moving forward...he gives us the best chance at winning (2) Our special teams continue to be mindnumbingly unspecial. We really need to invest heavily in this phase of our team (3) play calling was very predictable in second half and had zero imagination. We need to develop more playmakers on offense. We can’t win all our games relying on Luke and Wandale. We need to develop our receivers and get them more reps. Also, our receivers should not drop sure touchdowns (4) Our defense continues to show signs of improvement and they are the only reason that kept us in our games. They are doing more than enough to give us a decent chance at winning but our offense has been uncharacteristically anemic in the second half. (5) when we do not commit more than 3 to 4 stupid fouls and we play smart, we can win games. When we have 10+ fouls a game, we can never win. (6) Game management has been awful and that falls squarely on Frost. He wasted most of our time outs for being indecisive and not knowing who needs to be out there. (7) DOMANN and HONAS are real studs and the heart of our defense (8) if Luke started the game against Northwestern, we win for sure (9) we continue to struggle tremendously in the red zone and Frost has been horrible in play calling when we get so close to scoring (10) We won our first game this season,,,Yey...finally...

We should have put this game away in the third...instead Frost’s indecisive play calling put our defense in a hole. They came through and we know that the defense was the only bright aspect of this team this season but our offense is anemic...it is so easy to predict what Frost calls. Our last 20 plays were probably 90% Luke or wandale and penn state knew that...as a coach who knows how important it is to win, Frost needs to point the thumb and take action to improve. If we lost this game, he would be the ONLY one to blame...thank god we won!

Our defense won the game for us...I am now seeing that Frost is the issue and not chin. Chin saved his bacon
