Honestly, I think we should just rest our defense and spot Oregon 7 every time they get the ball back. That is easier than watching them play. Diaco is simply useless. He knows defense as much as I know Chinese.

The most depressing thing today is that IOWA, the team that ripped us to the tune of 40-10, lost to Florida 30-3. It goes to show you how HORRIBLE of a job our coaching staff are doing. I wish I could just forward to the day where they announce that Eichorst and Mike Riley are done and hopefully make room for some people that understand husker nation tradition. Sadly, we have to endure this bullsh#t for two more years. If we are lucky two more toilet bowls for us in 2017 and 2018.

Husker66, you read my mind buddy. I was watching Oklahoma dominate Auburn and wipe the floor with their defense and offense. In fact, Oklahoma has always been in the conversation for playoffs and has probably played in as many tier one bowl games as Alabama. So my question to those who keep screaming that Lincoln is not a nice place where players want to come: Have you seen Norman Oklahoma? Why is it that Oklahoma reloads on QBs, WRs, and RBs and we can't get these players to come to Nebraska. My answer: the horrible coaches we have hired. I am willing to bet good money that if the Stoops brothers come to Nebraska, the huskers will be competing for championships almost every year. At least we might play in one of the six big bowl games that have eluded us for almost two decades now.

I feel like every time we use the words "Black Shirts" to describe our defense in the last 13+ years (other than Suh's senior year), we devalue this great tradition and we disrespect the teams of the 90s that embodied the "Black Shirts" tradition. Facing the black shirts used to strike fear in any opponent. Nowadays, teams can't wait to set records on our defense. It is not fair or just to label our defense as the black shirts because neither the coaches nor the players have embodied the true meaning of the words. Let's face it, based on the horrible tackling we have seen thus far, Banker will not be the one that will restore this great defense tradition to its glory days. So, in honor of those teams that truly deserved being called "Black Shirts", let us just retire these words and not devalue them any more.

Ok, so if we can't compare our talent to these elite teams then what are these coaches doing except cash fat checks and give pressers that make no sense. Didn't Eichorst promise coaches that will turn things around in a very short period. I do not see any improvement what so ever. We are back where we started winning 9-4 with most wins being hollow ones and our loses being horrible embarrassments. The only difference is that Riley is a nice guy who does not make a scene on the sideline., rather he looks like he has absolutely no pulse whatsoever. In other words, we are back to square zero or minus one since we are paying two useless coaches.

It baffles me why there are so many members on this board that keep making excuses for these coaches. Why can't we just admit that Eichorst made a horrible choice when he hired Riley and that these coaches are nothing but average coaches that are going to produce average results. That is what they have done for decades now, why should it change all of a sudden? I seem t recall that Urban Meyer went undefeated in his first season with Ohio State and he inherited players that he did not recruit. Isn't why these coaches get paid millions? To develop these players and make them talented. Westerkamp, Reilly, Carter, Newby, Pearson El, gerry, dezuris are among some of the best players I have seen yet these coaches failed to develop others to have depth. You are either a good coach or a bad one. Obviously, this bunch has no pulse and will not do anything in Years 3 or 4. I expect a 7-5 record next year and may be an 8-4 record the following year at best. This is what these coaches can bring to the table. Eichorst should be ashamed to cash his fat check. He should apologize for this mess and take action to correct it. Can you imagine what a Florida State or a Clemson would do to us with these coaches at the helm. The game will be over in the middle of the first quarter. I get nightmares just thinking about the prospect. And to think once we were the Alabama of football. Look at what horrible ADs have done to this once elite program.

The worst thing is that we can't stop anyone. Whenever a good player is struggling in other games, they seem to get their mojo back once they play us. We just seem to bring the best out of everyone except ourselves. Dobbs is not that good yet we made him look like dak Prescott. Our coaches look clueless most of the game and our head coach is a nice guy that just roams the sideline with no heartbeat. Our team seems to take on the personality of our coach, which is nice but not good enough to beat the good teams.

Moving forward, I just want to fast forward to 2019 with a new coach, someone who comes with a winning record and mentality, not an aging average coach who has come to get some big money to retire and do absolutely nothing for this football team. I am really tired of these failed experiments. If it were up to me, I would go and get Les Miles right now and end this failed experiment. Unfortunately, we have to endure two more years of this same bullsh#t.

Banker is a proven loser. What he does best is steal Nebraska money by cashing checks he never earned. Our offense yesterday gave us a chance to win but our defense could not get a stop to save their lives. That is coaching and this coach is simply horrible and that is sugar coating it.

I just want to fast forward to 2018 when we actually open up the check book and get a real head coach to lead us from darkness. Until then, Mike Riley and company are another failed experiment we have to endure. They will not be any better next year because they simply don't know ho wto be better. They are average coaches delivering average results. Ok, now I am ready to be called a non fan and other delightful things the coolaid drinkers like to call people like me. I love my huskers and want them to return to prominence. If that is bad then so be it.
