  1. I will put everything I own on Colorado losing at least 1 game this season. Cmon man, be realistic here.
  2. That Colorado won't go undefeated? Yes I am. Would you like to make a wager or something?
  3. Never said it counted for nothing just am saying we need to look at it in context and we don't really know what kind of team they are this year. More data will yield more information. I refuse to give into the snap judgments after 1 week of football. I'm also not really concerned with whether the win or loss looks good or bad. Our program has sucked for nearly a decade now, I am not expecting us to be amazing this season. What I am going to do is look for improvement and trust that the people we put in place are doing their very best to make Nebraska a winner. It's all I as a fan can do. We gave this guy the reigns so we can either ride with the guy or complain about the other guy we should have gotten. It's easy to compare. I'd rather just look in the mirror at this point.
  4. 2018- 7-6 2019- 5-7 2020- 6-4 2021- 5-7 2022- 13-2 Anyone who vaguely follows football might think TCU is a solid program. But if you actually follow closely you would know TCU has been a middling program outside of last season. And of course I will downplay the win. It's Colorado and I hate Colorado. You can give them credit all you want but it's Colorado so who cares.
  5. Except that isn't the point you made. And frankly we don't actually know that. You are making assumptions on how good TCU is based on last year's team. This year they lost alot of the players that made last year's team good.
  6. It's all sunshine and rainbows when you win. Colorado getting so much praise because they pulled off the win, people on here are doom and gloom because we lost. But here is the thing, Colorado isn't going undefeated this season. They will lose just like we did in week 1. Question is how are both of these teams going to bounce back? How will they respond to losing? Because it's easy to say "hey look at us we proved the doubters wrong" after a week 1 victory. But what will the response be like after a loss? Or 2 in a row? Adversity shows the true mettle of a man.
  7. Did I say they were bad? It isn't the narrative, it is the truth. That TCU team IS NOT the team that played for a title last year plain and simple. 20 point favorites for the first game of the year doesn't mean squat. The only person trying to create a narrative here is you.
  8. Yea, no. Deion was and frankly still is completely unproven at the power 5 level. That team that played for a natty got blown out by the worst margin in the history of college football championship games and also lost a ton of key play players on both sides of the ball. It's one game man.
  9. One game where their defense was a team of matadors and we think Deion is the next Nick Saban
  10. Never said a backup was the answer just that no turnovers and we win easily which I ended up backtracking and saying we would be in a much better position to win. Any of the backups could have also turned it over 3 times so it's all hypothetical but we need somebody who can go a game without turning it over.
  11. Also fair point. Ultimately we should have scored there and it is very frustrating we didn't. A TD there would have been huge given the classic B1G slug fest that the game was. I'll be interested to see how we perform on offense against Colorado. Everyone is saying this Minny team sucks but that is in no way an easy start to the season for an offense that has never played a game together before. The Buffs aren't Minnesota on defense. This is the type of game you want your new offense to warm up with.
  12. I get that he is a heck of an athlete and helped us move the ball. The problem is when you throw 3 ints you have to be really really special the rest of the game to make up for it. Despite the penalties we could have scored on the last play of the half if Sims would have just thrown it to 87 instead of forcing into double coverage.
  13. Do we? You are assuming we don't score without int prone Sims which is a huge assumption. We would have been in a better position without 3 of our 4 turnovers being committed and I will absolutely die on that hill. How can you say otherwise? Seriously? We are better off throwing 3 picks? That is a ridiculous take man.
  14. I'm sure there is a reason he isn't the starter now but I would give Haarberg a roll. How much worse could it be? Assuming Sims can't stop throwing picks that is. But the coaches are with these guys every day so what do I know.
  15. Do we win easily? Maybe not but I guarantee we would have been in alot better of a position. Being the majority of the offense means jack squat when you score 3 picks and only score 1 TD all game.
  16. Well then hopefully Rhule goes with someone else because that is the reason we lost plain and simple. We can sit here and blame a million other things but 0 ints and we win this game without a doubt.
  17. Lots to work on but let's be real, Sims throwing 3 picks off his back foot lost us the game. The second one should have been a touchdown throw to 87. I like the kid but he has to stop throwing the ball when his feet aren't set and more importantly to players who aren't extremely covered. Better QB play and we win this game easily despite the line, play calling, even the fumble.
  18. We suck but at least we aren't the Buffalo's. If we can only win 1 game this season I hope it's next Saturday by 40. I was hoping we might could go bowling this year, I may be a little disappointed that we probably won't, but one thing I won't be able to stand is losing to the damn Buffs.
  19. At least we played a close game. Buffs are about to get slaughtered Saturday
  20. No need to apologize. You said what you said I disagreed with what you said and how you said it and decided to make that opinion known. There is room for disagreement.
  21. Did I ask for an apology or am I allowed to share my opinion as well? Also the old days you are describing don't exist. At no point in history can you just say whatever you want with no consequence. People who disagree will disagree and it has literally always been that way since the beginning of time. I disagreed with the post and shared my opinion of that. If you think that is new to this generation you may have been born yesterday.
  22. It was an analogy that compared our student athletes to piles of s#!t. Completely unnecessary analogy if you ask me, I'm sure there were better ones to make your point. Do you think Coach Rhule or any good leader of young men ever refer to someone in that way? You can be honest about their performance last year but that doesn't mean you have to be disparaging or derogatory. You can justify it all you like but these are young men trying to be their best and you are calling them piles of s#!t before they even have the chance to redeem themselves from last season. It's sad to see.
  23. The only pile of s#!t I see is this post. There is absolutely no reason to be referring to our student athletes in this way. You can hold the opinion that they aren't very good players, but there is absolutely no excuse for calling them what you did. I have no respect for posts or posters like this.
  24. I had read they put up 50k tickets but that wasn't full capacity but I could absolutely be wrong on that
  25. CU sold out their tickets not the stadium
