  1. What a beautiful morning in Husker Nation !! Woke up feeling positive as ever about this recruiting class, new hires, and next season. One day can do a lot! GBR
  2. "What did I get myself into here?" Really? That is garbage . More so he is doing is damn job and knows exactly what needs to be done and what he got himself into.
  3. Awful defense in the NFL doesn't mean he will have aweful D in college. And awful defense isn't the first thing that comes to my mind when speaking of Rob Ryan's defensive coaching career. Yeah his last four years have been rough in the NFL on some pretty terrible teams with not much to work with. But his coaching career as a whole is damn impressive. Coordinator at Hutchinson Community College in 1996. Ryan's defense led the nation in total defense and in sacks . They also set a national record by forcing 49 turnovers. In 1997 Ryan coached as DC at Oklahoma State. While at Oklahoma State their defense continually ranked among the best in the nation, also he was named Coordinator of the Year in 1997. In 1999, they were ranked 10th in the nation in total defense. In 1998, they were second in the nation with 41 sacks. In his first season at Oklahoma State, the defense finished among the nation top-20 in turnover margin, rushing defense, scoring defense, and total defense. The 1994 Cardinals ranked second in the NFL total defense, second in run defense and third in pass defense 1995, the Cardinals led the NFL with 32 interceptions and 42 total takeaways. As linebackers coach for New England Patriots In 2003 the Patriots ranked first in the NFL in points allowed while ranking seventh overall in the NFL in total defense. In 2001, the Patriots contributed to one of the best scoring defenses in franchiose history and produced Pro Bowlers Willie McGinest and Tesy Bruschi. In 2006, the Raiders ranked third in yards-per-game. Ryan's Saints defense finished well statistically in 2013, including fourth in fewest points-per-game and second for fewest passing yards allowed. Dude has two super bowl rings.
  4. Chip Kelly has a little DC experience. 😆
  5. Steve Spagnuolo leaving the NYG Giants to reunite with Billy Devaney?
  6. Rob Ryan. He was D.C. in 97 at Oregon State when Riley was there ... that is my vote
  7. Unfortunately, what his mother said makes it sound like she is fishing for a donor or someone to purchase the family tickets to come see games. Her son going to Oregon State would have allowed their family to go to what.... a home game for UCLA when they play them once every couple years and a home game USC game once every two years? That is such a terrible excuse. It sounds like she had her son commit to Oregon State on a national stage and now is telling Nebraska papers that her son wants to go to Nebraska but the family can't afford to come watch his games.... wow
  8. I think it is a damn shame we are all speculating on why his grades were a problem, instead of talking about his abilities and what he brings to this program or what our program can offer him with such educational struggles. Putting blame on the past and something we don't know about is pointless. Let's move forward on this thread out of respect for Jaylin and let's talk about his abilities. His abilities and his commitment are being overshadowed by everyone wanting to just talk about his grades.... smh
  9. Anyone know much about this kid? Seems to be rated decent and his highlight tape is looking legit. Landing him is always the toughest part though.
  10. Never mind I just found there already was a thread for this. I couldn't find one before . Take convo to other thread
  11. Looks like we just offered WR Bryan Thompson from Moreno Valley (Calif) . What does everything think of this kid and our chances of landing him ?
  12. We offered to Bryan Thompson. What does everything think of him and our chances of landing him?
  13. That's not what it sounds like on Williams' twitter account. He seems pretty darn shocked... we shall see I guess.
  14. We still need 3 WRs...2 OTs...3 DBs...2 DEs and there's 4 weeks left.
  15. I sure hope this staff was recruiting some backups just as hard. We can't land a single one of these big commits and could see staff go into panick mode now and start giving out offers to 2 star dudes... CaliBraska isn't a movement it is just a couple guys committing. A movement would have been multiple of them. (Sigh)
  16. Well it's been fun wishing and dreaming and hoping. Typical Nebraska recruiting , can't land big prospects.
  17. Funny how every recruit thinks their pick will "shock the world". They are one of hundreds. At this point I am convinced the only way it will "shock the world" is if any five star commits to us cause everyone would be "shocked" we actually landed one for once.
  18. We are not loaded at WR and Oregon State has what ... 6 or 7 WR commits in this class. So isn't the reason at all.
  19. Well, all in or nothing now. Either we land Darnay or nobody...
  20. Filiaga , holding Nebraska cap in his right hand. And Oklahoma and Michigan caps in his left.... !! Foreshadowing ?
  21. Magnus, someone posting a question to people on if they think this means something in regards to his commitment is far less pathetic than you belittling someone and their post. Glad I could make you feel cool about yourself today on my expense. Too bad it's far from cool....My pathetic post was immediately outdone by your pathetic post. Congratulations
