I personally just bought a 50" Samsung DLP for this year's football season and have absolutely loved it. I also have a 26" Sumsung LCD in my bedroom and personally think the DLP offers a brighter picture. If you are looking to upgrade, I would definitely give DLP's a look. MUCH BETTER BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

I for one is rooting for Gilmore to get this job. Don't get me wrong, I think Coach Gilmore has done a great job for the Husker staff. But it always reflects good things of a head coach and program when assistants are granted head coaching jobs at D-1 programs.

The one thing I love about living in Nebraska is that my place of work closes at noon on Friday so everyone can get home to watch the football game! GBR!

I know that starting this year the 3-pt line has been moved back about a foot. But last night during the Saint Louis game, it seemed as almost all of their 3-pt shots had at least a foot on the white line and still counted. Do you think the refs were just confused by the two seperate lines?.....or am I just missing something?

I am so tired of everyone questioning what are coaches are doing! Last time I checked, they know just a TAD more than everyone who is blogging. Everyone was all upset at Solich, so we canned him.....then everyone was all upset at Callahan, so we canned him........and know people are started to pick away at this staff as well......GIVE IT A REST AND LET THEM DO THERE JOBS!!!! It is the people that complain all the time and don't know what they are talking about that has ruined many of GREAT high school and college coaches, and I just think its a shame.

I have seen some of Dunlap's Metro State teams when they come out to Kearney to play the Lopers. Dont get me wrong, Dunlap does an outstanding job with Metro State. They are at the top of the RMAC Conference year in and year out and are legitimate national title contenders almost every season. But I just dont think that making the jump from D-II to a major conference in D-I would be the best idea for neither the Huskers or Dunlap. I personally would like to see us pursue Coach Fox from Nevada as hard as possibly. Fox is by far a leg up on the rest of the canidates as far as Im concerned.

Unfortunatley, Altman wouldn't leave Creighton for the Huskers. That would almost be like taking a step down for him, even though he would be going to a Big XII school. He has everything he needs at Creighton, and I think he would only leave for a big time gig, and right now the Huskers are not that. I think you're right. After what George Mason did last year as a mid-major, I think Creighton has what it takes to make it that far as well. They had a ridiculous haul in recruiting the last year and they have a kid who transferred from Kansas that had to sit out last year that will be in the mix this year. Altman would be the best mid-major coach out there, in my opinion. It never hurts to give him a call and see if he is interested, the worst he can say is no. Altman is one of the highest paid mid-major coaches in the country, and he has such high job security at Creighton that I dont see him leaving there anytime soon. Altman is almost worshiped by the Creighton athletic department. Plus, why would he give all this up at a BASKETBALL school to take a less fortunate program at a FOOTBALl school??

I hope we pursue Fox from Nevada. First off, he is a younger guy with a lot of energy. Secondly, he has been very succussful in his tenure there at Nevada.

I think eventually 100,000 is realistic. But like it was said before, I think the capacity of the stadium is going to continually grow piece by piece. They dont want to risk the sellout streak. (Not like they would have to worry about it.) They want to continue that high ticket demand!!

The more and more I learn about this kid, the more and more I think he is the best representative of Nebraska football that we can possibly have!!!
