  1. That would be a more valid point. I am not sure. But it doesn't make sense why he would not wear it if he was contractually obligated to do so.
  2. Tom Osborne didn't wear anything Nebraska when he was announced as AD, either. I am not standing up for Callahan, but maybe, just maybe, we are looking a little too closely at what is surrounding our team.
  3. I usually do not like posting on another team's site, especially a Husker site but I cannot refrain. The reason is very simple, you love going onto Netbuffs or Allbuffs and talk a bunch of crap and bash CU fans religously yet here you are trashing your gear. I do not like Nebraska but I respect their traditions and their fan base for they have been solid. Now is the time when you really see who has the resolve to man up and show support for a struggling team. Last season when Colorado got embarrassed and lost to Montana State I still had my CU sticker on the back of my truck, I still wore my CU T-Shirts and I live deep in the heart of SEC country where people think there is no such thing as football west of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon line. I take my ridicule and abuse like a man, because I support my team when we win or when we lose. You not only embarrass yourself with your childish behavior on other people's sites but now you embarrass these people here that still root with undying affection for their Cornhuskers. Honestly, I do not want Nebraska to suck, at least for not too long , I want them back in the Top 10 and I want Colorado in the Top 10 and I want to kick your rear ends on the day after Thanksgiving, this is what college football is all about. I want that game to matter and mean something. Amen, BeachBuff, Amen.
  4. herbie is still there. It isn't like he died. They ride out on a bike "together" before every game.
  5. Yeah, and I'm fine with it. He is the AD, and it is his job to make those decisions. If Tom freakin' Osborne thinks BC should remain coach, then it is okay by me. I hope to God he doesn't keep Cosgrove, but the job Callahan has done recruiting and with the Offense (minus a few games) is respectable. Tom knows firing coaches every three or four years kills recruiting and ultimately kills a program. It's up to him, or whomever he and Perlman hires. We'll see.
  6. They are missing one showcasing "the run." I know I have that one.
  7. GBR!!! and none of them would get to Chase the Great, either. I can't believe he said that. Chase kinda laid the smack down on him. He deserved that.
  8. maybe this doesn't have to do with what WE think. Do you maybe think this private meeting was supposed to be between the players and coaches.? It isn't like they paraded in the streets holding hands. I'm getting a little tired of all this stuff. Every time a player or coach has a positive thing to say we drive it into the ground. They know more about the state of the program than we do, and while this is a message board where we are free to state our own opinions, can we please try to get over this "we suck" mentality? I'm not claiming this sunshine pumping will help, but can we at least give the players some respect for stating their own claims. We weren't there, and we don't know what was said.
  9. I guess I see why you don't like this quote, but it is true. The best defense is not having to be on the field. I think he was referencing how we tired being on the field for 40 some mins last week. I don't think he was trying to call our secondary incompetant. Could it have been said better, yeah, but i think we are being a little critical of everything our coaches and players are saying as of late. Lets just win today.
  10. I thought it was funny. Small mistakes are fine, and he should be allowed to make mistakes without us slamming him for it. I know on my computer it underlines words I spell wrong. His should do the same. It isn't that hard to change those words before posting. Worse than a flamer? No way, just don't be a grammar Nazi. I thought that response had more to do with football than bashing his grammar.
  11. Thank God, maybe I can visit this board again.
  12. 11-14, i think. It goes from the south side of the east stadium through about half of the south stadium.
  13. If there is one thing that won't help our team in any way, it is not showing up to a game. That carries no momentum or sense of direction as a team. If we can sit through a 5-6 season, we can live through this (close) win. If we lose our consecutive sellout streak because of a few bad games then we didn't deserve to keep it going in the first place. What a way to kill recruiting and our teams moral. They know they screwed up, so do we. Let's move on and worry about the stats later.
  14. Unfortunately, it seems to be up to the media to pass judgments. We are not supposed to boo or chant (which I understand), but when I heard our fans booing I immediately thought, well the media will run with this one. The problem is that some in the media (and fans, even on this site) tend to overreact on issues they think are extremely important (see mike gundy). I agree with what he said and that reporter deserved to be called out. Our defense deserved to be called out, but booing or responding like that seems to be kicking them when they are down. And that is something I really hate seeing, especially in something like my favorite football team.
  15. well, it's better than booing. As much as our team needs to know our displeasure, I'm pretty sure no one wanted them to play better than the guys on the field.
  16. yeah, but the only reason ESPN is giving us so much coverage is because it is on their family of networks. Tennessee/Florida will be a good game too, but no one is talking about that one either. I know you may not be getting your husker fill in Chi town, but sitting in the epicenter here in Lincoln I am getting the twitches waiting for this game will all the media.
  17. I DVR'd it, and during the game I was totally convinced they screwed us. After I watched it again, it was the padding that came loose, but it did still look like an inch or two of the chain had some slack in it. Still not enough to make a difference, but that was a little shady. Not a conspiracy, but fix the yardage markers, please.
  18. All i've heard so far is red-out, so I think we are safe for now.
  19. I want to see a full out mural on a back of memorial stadium.
  20. The Gameday press begins? It will be interesting to see what they ask him.
  21. Why yes, yes I do. I did know the words, and yes I sing it every time after a win, and if we don't win, I sing it while crying into a beer.
