There is no reason we can't be good. Miles has this year to prove himself or we move on... Way too many dollars are being left on the table. Our fan base is ready to fully support a winning basketball team as demonstrated anytime there is a hint of us being good over the last few years.

Wyoming has had some great coaches walk their sidelines as mentioned above... Add Dennis Erickson to that list. That said, even disregarding the negative feeling for him in Nebraska, Bohl isn't a top tier guy that can turn our ship around fast. The days of taking 5-8 years to get a program running well are over. Our immediate gratification society demands results now or we will move on to something else shiny. I consider Nebraska in a situation that demands we bring someone high profile in now or we will start to risk losing some fan support and watch the sellout streak come to an end.

To clarify, I am ok with that. Just wanting someone with a winning persona is fine with me.

I agree with you completely... But in my opinion, a good % of our fan base isn't as educated on the subject as the average person on this forum. I have 3 examples of such people in my office right now. I overheard them saying they really hope they get Scott. I asked them simply what they liked about him and i could immediately tell they didn't really know much.

I think a good % on this forum have but I think we all likely know people pining for him to come home who don't really have a clue what he is about. Just a thought to kill some time. I have seen it and like what I see for the most part.

Michigan is 8-2 right now with games against Wisconsin and Ohio State remaining... they aren't going 10-3 this season. Maybe 8-5 or 9-4...

I was thinking to myself earlier about how quick some people are to jump on a bandwagon... How many of you have ever watched a complete game that Scott has coached as a head coach? I'm not pointing any fingers or trying to drag people down but I know of several people who are begging for Scott to be our next coach but they have no clue what the product he puts on the field even looks like.

If they advertised that Moos would be speaking to the crowd after the game, not a seat would be empty.

They interviewed him a couple days ago on ESPNU radio. He basically said "never say never" but that he didn't have immediate plans on coaching again on any level. The hosts speculated afterward that he would likely coach again in the NFL but that a college job was very unlikely.

Good question. Scott's offensive and defensive schemes may not fit for some recruits so I could see us losing a couple and then gaining a couple. I'm guessing we have a hard time pulling any big name recruits away from the Florida area... anyone he has committed is likely committed due to the proximity to home, and climate. I am not aware of any cross country big names he has verbals from right now.

Why would 2 power 5 coaches take the time to contact writers at HO? Smh... I'm sure any P5 coach with that kind of time on their hands would choose to spend it spreading rumors. Let's say this again... We are all falling prey to the media guys who are trying to get clicks. They are coming up with anything they think will be of interest to us. Albeit some is entertaining, it is mostly BS...even from "the most respected".

I don't think Bohl is a bad coach but I do believe Nebraska would be a terrible fit. He is not well liked here. You can't start a coaching tenure with someone that a good % of the fans already dislike, especially when fan support is already dicey. If Frost doesn't come home, ADBM will have a the challenge of finding someone the fans can rally around...Bohl isn't even on the long list.

It is obvious that Scott is the FANS #1... beyond that, we don't know anything as credible fact. We grab at straws, some of them nice and shiny, and hope that they are correct.

Some of the posts in this thread make me roll my eyes... Someone needs to print this off after the coaching search is over. Guessing it would be pretty hilarious reading 5 years from now.

Basically our fan base has created enough noise for the media to buy it... I do believe ADBM wants Frost but I don't for a second believe he is showing his cards to anyone who would leak it.
