Is there any requirement for Moos to log where he is going? Just curious if there is some sort of schedule someone could drum up that would show him on that flight.

Agree. Instead of giving them free tuition. Just give them 80,000. They can choose to use that on their college education or piss it away and have student loans instead.

A winning program brings in a lot of money. So its important to pay a good coach to make sure you win. Winning puts butts in seats, people buy gear, bowl game $$ etc etc. Not to mention coaches work very long hours, time away from families out recruiting, speaking obligations, booster events. Etc. Not sure how much they deserve- but it is a demanding profession.

I am still trying to figure out why the hell I keep coming to this thread. I think if we all look ourselves in the mirror we know damn well we will not find out anything official until Dec. 2nd at the earliest. Yet here I am, refreshing the thread like I am going to see some piece of information that confirms Frost to Nebraska.

I just think given the early signing period it would not be very responsible on our part to delay firing riley if we do indeed need that 10 day window. Every day is important in securing our class.

Maybe Moos figured that out and he made the statement he may finish his review of riley before the season is over. Perhaps after penn state he says Riley will finish the year as head coach but he will not be retained at the conclusion of the season. Then he could officially post the job and start the 10 day window?

As far as the legalities of contracts go. If Mike Riley has not been fired yet, Scott Frost is still under contract with UCF. Could he still sign a contract with NU. Putting a future start date in the contract? Just curious.

But could you imagine how spectacularly spectacular it would be to watch the strain from Diaco on doing press conferences in lieu of riley.

I do have some info. But its nothing new to anyone here. A guy at my work says he knows a higher up at UNL. Didnt name names. But he told him Frost does want to come here. Nothing ground breaking- but like he said it is really is pretty big news because if he wants to come here I imagine the Moos will make it work.
