I did hear something from my source yesterday. He said NU and frost were close on terms and expected that today negotiations would be over and agree on contract info. It is a tad ironic some things happened today.

It's just my opinion Nebraska would know that once they put the official statement out to UCF about talking to frost that it would get out to media- it always does. Nebraska also knows the national image of Nebraska being that it's not a great job anymore and who wants to go to a school who fired 9 win coaches. Now take into consideration there has been buzz for about a week we have been talking to frosts agent. I personally find it hard to believe we would make it public we want frost if we didn't think or know his agent said he wants it or already negotiated a deal. The backlash and egg Nebraska would get on our face for publicly pursueing frost and getting turned down would be horrible. The narrative would be we can't even lure an alumni from a non power 5 school.

Not at all. But the big ten has only become a respected conference the last 2 years. Prior to that they were the laughing stock. outdated, slow offenses that got pummelled in their bowl games. During that time I am just surprised he did not win more than 1 title.

Yes. Assuming frost comes here. We will have greatly benefited from frost learning the oregon offense at OC.

That is one of the big appeals to frost for me personally. I like he is young and loyal and would stay here for 20-30 years and give us good stability. Much Needed.

Just to clarify then Meyer is dead to me. I am not saying he is not a great coach. I am saying given their talent supremacy to most of the teams they play- I am surprised they have not had more championships is all. THey have under achieved in big ten titles for that matter since he has been there. According to wikipedia he has only won 1 big ten title. 2014.

Exactly. But he has recently said he doesnt do alot of coaching anymore- he is more of a motivator. Maybe that is why he has not won more championships.
