Huskers are in 16 of the 31 brackets that Bracket Matrix monitors. Average seed is 11. The Bracket Project's Bracket Matrix - 2024

In the first half it did look like they were missing him. A lot of their offense runs through him at the high post & they seemed to not be running that version of their offense much in the first half. They ran it a lot more with Allick in the second half & they played much better. Allick isn't as good of a passer, but they seemed more comfortable running things through him like they usually do with Mast. There was a HUGE change in effort too after Hoiberg ripped them a new one at half time. The combination of two got them 53 points in the second half & the win.

What Pavelka said was that 7-10 days is the typical recovery time for the procedure. Sounds like they are shooting for the Indiana game on January 3rd for his return.
-
I'm guessing that he's going to redshirt this year. He's missed too much of the season to do anything else.

Huskers are an 18.5 point favorite with an over/under of 144.5. ESPN gives NU a 92.8% chance to win. Same availability as recent games. Keita out, Lloyd ???, Ulis suspended. GBR!

ESPN has the Huskers as part of the "Last 4 In" in their latest bracket (with Nevada, South Carolina & K-State). One of seven B1G teams they have in with Michigan State in the "First 4 out". NCAA Bracketology - 2024 March Madness men's field predictions (espn.com)

Huskers are 42 at Ken Pom, 38 at Bart Torvik, 62 in ESPN's BPI & 34 in ESPN's SOR.
-
And post game Nebraska is up to 42 & KSU is down to 67.
-
Eleven of Gary's rebounds were offensive. Bruce Williams had 10 & 9 - if he had gotten one more rebound NU would have had three players with double doubles.
-
Huskers up 59-41 with 5:27 to go. KSU has scored 7 points in the second half.
-
KSU is a 5.5 point favorite with an over/under of 149.5. ESPN BPI only gives the Huskers a 27.6% chance to win. Same availability as the last several games. GBR!

K-State's. Word is that KSU's coach is not happy with how the president handled the situation. Former Kansas State F Nae'Qwan Tomlin transferring to Memphis after dismissal from Wildcats last week - CBSSports.com

I bet Creighton's glad they don't play in the Mountain West...

Huskers currently a 9 seed in ESPN's latest women's bracket. NCAA Women's Bracketology - 2024 women's college basketball projections (espn.com)

Yes, the only change in the starting lineup was Gary for Allick who was out with an ankle injury.
-
I was at the game. He definitely didn't play.
-
Allick is not warming up with the rest of the bigs, so I'm guessing he's not playing.
-
MSU currently 2.5 point favorites with an over/under of 143.5. ESPN BPI gives the Huskers a 56% chance to win. Ulis & Keita still not available. GBR!

No sh!+. At least Fred recognizes the problem. The question is can he solve it?

My biggest disappointment last night was the complete lack of hustle in the second half. Every loose ball went to Minnesota & they got a ton of offensive rebounds. I remember at least twice when there was a handoff that was just completely dropped by the person getting the ball and then little/no effort to get the ball or get back on defense. I kind of figured really quick/athletic players would be a problem based on NU's personnel but some of that can be negated through hustle & playing smart. NU did neither against Creighton nor Minnesota. Unless the team has a massive attitude change, Alberts will be looking for a new coach in about 2.5 months (if he hasn't already started the search behind the scenes). In 4+ years Hoiberg has gotten the team to play good team basketball for about 10-12 games at the end of last year. The rest has been a lot of ugly me first crap. Hoiberg claims that they don't need a "traditional" point guard. That may work in the NBA where lead guards have crazy talent, but in college it doesn't work that way most of the time.

Huskers have their first road game at Minnesota. Huskers are currently a 2.5 point favorite with an over/under of 146.5. Same availability as the last several games - no Ulis or Keita. Game is on BTN at 8:00. GBR!

Kelly Pfeifer is the worst referee in college basketball. If I were Hoiberg I would tell the B1G that he is banned from PBA. If he is ever assigned to a Nebraska home game he will not be allowed in the building.
-
This is the committee listening to ESPN saying all season that the SEC is the best conference. Someone needs to tell ESPN that Greg Sankey doesn't know sh!+ about sh!+.
-
Odds are they are a Husker fan in everything except basketball & if NU starts beating CU on a regular basis they will be in basketball too. I remember a time when creighton couldn't fill the Civic Auditorium. From what I've seen, at least half of the people at their games are there to be seen, not for the game.

Huskers currently 3.5 point dogs with an over/under of 147.5. ESPN BPI only gives them a 35.3% cance to win. Everyone should be available except Ulis & Keita. GBR!!
