  1. Nice story about Jason Dourisseau. It's behind the pay wall. https://www.omaha.com/sports/college/huskers/plus/former-husker-jason-dourisseau-left-nebraska-and-became-a-dutch-basketball-star/article_3f7e01ba-a318-5962-a15e-785f9bb7e3cd.html
  2. Something about credits not transferring because of his major. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29324510/undefined
  3. Not much of a stretch since they have an exhibition game the night before.
  4. Even if KSU is as bad as last year it will be a Q2 game since it's neutral site. ACC Game will be Q2 also because virtually every team in the major conferences are. It's obvious they are scheduling easy early to get some team chemistry. They did the same thing last year and it didn't work. Hopefully they have more maturity this year. The stretch from the ACC/B1G Challenge through KSU will show what this team is made of even if KSU is bad - they will have an ACC team, two B1G games, Creighton and KSU.
  5. Creighton could have a similar punishment. Possibly more since they didn't fire Preston Murphy immediately. He was never arrested, but technically keeping him on staff for months after he was linked to the scandal can't look good to the NCAA.
  6. If he ends up at KU or UNC I will be unhappy but I will understand. If he ends up at Creighton, I will be using words that I can't use on this board.
  7. The pitch now has to be "Come to Nebraska and start something or go to a blue blood and be just another guy who played there."
  8. This isn't completely B1G related, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it. Interesting read on why the Power 5 (ACC, B1G, Big 12, SEC Pac 12) might use the pandemic to break away from the NCAA. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/why-we-may-be-reaching-a-tipping-point-for-the-power-five-to-break-away-from-the-fbs/
  9. CBS Sports has him as the #5 transfer. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/ranking-college-basketballs-top-10-transfers-of-the-2020-recruiting-cycle/
  10. May be interesting, but we don't have a scholarship available.
  11. Seem to be offering a lot of NJ, PA, NY area players this week. I know that's were Abdelmassih has contacts, but damn.
  12. Indiana losing a starter... https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29209735/justin-smith-leaving-hoosiers-graduate-transfer
  13. A few more details from the OWH. https://www.omaha.com/sports/college/huskers/teams/mens-basketball/while-on-the-path-to-success-ex-husker-dylan-talleys-life-took-a-turn-hard/article_345103a1-36e0-5981-956d-dec6a31838b5.html
  14. Indiana just picked up a player. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/five-star-indiana-recruit-khristian-lander-will-play-for-hoosiers-a-season-early-after-reclassifying-to-2020/
  15. I've got Starters (in pencil, alphabetical): Allen Banton Ouedraogo Walker Webster Bench: Thorbjarnarson Stevenson Mayen Arop Andre I'm guessing Arop & Andre won't get a lot of playing time, but who knows. I've got McGowens, King & Lakes redshirting until I hear otherwise.
  16. But Self may not be there in a year and KU may be on probation meaning no NCAA tournament.
  17. Matt Painter sounds like he's a little bitter about Eastern & Haarms leaving. He may be telling the truth, but... https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29175428/purdue-transfer-nojel-eastern-headed-michigan
  18. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/college-basketball-transfers-10-programs-that-would-benefit-from-ncaa-passing-immediate-eligibility-rule/ Teams that most want transfers to be immediately eligible - Nebraska is #1 & Minnesota is #7.

  20. Good question, but Purdue losing players is OK with me.
  21. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29166384/maryland-adds-forward-galin-smith-transfer-alabama Addition for Maryland.
  22. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29166216/iowa-jordan-bohannon-jack-nunge-granted-extra-year-eligibility Not that either was a surprise...
  23. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/will-coronavirus-threat-sideline-older-coaches-like-mike-krzyzewski-roy-williams-jim-boeheim/ Interesting take on the pandemic. It only discusses "older" coaches, but I'm pretty sure it would apply to Hoiberg with his heart issues.
