  1. He will be a regular transfer. Currently has two years to play two seasons so if he has to sit, he will lose a year of eligibility. Where ever he ends up will have to apply for a waiver of immediate eligibility from the NCAA. Hopefully he doesn't end up a longhorn.
  2. We have played Gavitt three times and two were on the road. The next time we play, we should be home. B1G teams are only guaranteed four Gavitt games in 8 years, so we could sit out the next couple of years. Michigan State didn't play until this year, so who knows. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gavitt_Tipoff_Games
  3. At this point, my best guess for the schedule is: Exhibition game(s) Buy game Gavitt Games Cleveland State Myrtle Beach ACC/B1G Challenge Buy game Creighton Two B1G games Finals Week K-State Buy game Christmas Break The rest of B1G games The Creighton & early B1G games may be flip flopped. We should be home for both the Gavitt Games & ACC/B1G Challenge.
  4. If the Cleveland State rumor is true, there are only about 3 games left to schedule. They should host a Big East team in the Gavitt Games, an ACC team in the ACC/B1G Challenge and Creighton. They will have neutral site games with K-State in KC three teams in the Myrtle Beach Invitational (Charlotte, Dayton, Loyola, Missouri, Penn, Pitt & Utah State). Plus the 20 B1G games.
  5. You have to scroll down and read the article. He's the second Kobe quoted.
  6. What will the 20/21 season look like? Interesting read. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/coronavirus-fallout-the-biggest-questions-concerns-facing-college-basketball-and-athletic-departments/
  7. Nice story on Brandon Ubel. https://huskers.com/news/2020/3/26/mens-basketball-former-husker-ubel-grateful-for-first-year-as-ga-at-utah-state.aspx
  8. I ran Track/Cross Country for a DIII school near Dordt. Their NAIA scholarship athletes were worse than our DIII (non-scholarship) athletes. It was 25 years ago, but still...
  9. Growing up Kobe with quotes from Kobe Webster. Gives a little insight into a new player on the team. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28946212/these-college-basketball-players-share-legendary-name
  10. Looks like Tim Miles will be an analyst again this coming season. https://www.omaha.com/sports/college/huskers/teams/mens-basketball/while-tim-miles-awaits-his-return-to-coaching-he-delivers/article_fb5c1e5a-e10e-528d-a52c-4b6a915d99de.html
  11. I did find a really crappy angle of the shot on the OWH site. https://www.omaha.com/michigan-state-game-winning-shot/video_9f8fd84c-f389-52e7-9ed3-119bf400d51f.html
  12. I was away at college so I didn't see it live and I've seen it described as anywhere from 25 to 40. I went big to encourage people to find it.
  13. If you can find it 11/28/90 vs Michigan State. Beau Reid makes a 40 footer at the buzzer to upset #5 MSU.
  14. Cleveland State is likely to be better than any non-conference team they hosted last year.
  15. Miles is not going to Wyoming. They have hired Jeff Linder from Northern Colorado.
  16. If he transfers, his biggest problem will be that he graduated HS in 2017. That means he has two years for two years of eligibility. If he sits a year as a transfer, he loses a year of playing.
  17. While I think he's not NBA ready, I would never discourage a kid from looking. If nothing else he will get feedback from NBA people on what he needs to improve. Right now I'd say what he needs to work on most is his maturity both on and off court. All the fake bow & arrow when he makes a 3 or the goggles when he makes a nice pass won't fly in the NBA. Neither will being late for practice/film sessions/team transportation. Hopefully he figures it all out and comes back to NU because the on court talent is obviously there.
  18. You can still keep in contact via phone calls, texts, social media, etc.
  19. Right now we have no scholarships available assuming Allen, King & Mayen actually sign. I think everyone assumes Burke is gone, so that's one. Mack would be two. I'd say there's an outside chance Green leaves, but I don't see anyone else leaving (right now anyway).
  20. Appears that he's not getting any playing time. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28883661/frustrated-dywane-wade-skipping-son-title-game
  21. There are two walk-ons who are "redshirting" or maybe there is another student who could join the team as a walk-on. Not sure how useful they would be since they are unlikely to know the system, but it would be another body. Student manager suiting up is another possibility.
