Seems dumb for him to run against Markey, but Kennedy co-sponsered the green new deal and medicare for all - so to say they're kicking Markey out for sponsoring the green new deal seems not accurate. I'll admit Kennedy's run seems more like a grab at more power, and it could be argued he's jumping on the progressive bandwagon for votes. But policy wise Kennedy and Markey are very, very similar.

I don't think this is anything we didn't know. n95's are going to provide the most protection, then surgical masks, then cloth coverings. But even cloth coverings are going to be up to 40% effective against droplets the particle size of Covid. Even with 40% effectiveness we are in a much better place than 0%. Would you rather have a 40% protection from being murdered or 0 protection. Mask wearing is a no brainer. Will it help? It could. Will it hurt? absolutely not.

There's a story about a boy who cried wolf that comes to mind. When Trump started his attacks 4 years ago with Hilary, it was decently effective (maybe because people were predisposed to dislike her). But after 4 years of this crap, I don't think people outside his base (who would vote for him if he took a dump on their doorstep and kicked their dog) even bat an eye on his bogus attacks. Two things. First, I've sat in on many surgeries, taken many heart/traches back from surgery and cared for them for an entire shift post surgery. Surgeons f#&% up way more than you think, and its not that they're bad at what they do, that's just the nature of. Second, if you're judging ANYONE on 1% of what they do and making conclusions off it - you are doing it wrong. Mike Trout strikes out 20% of his ABs, does he suck at baseball? Is his bat turning to mush? Base your conclusions of the entire picture, not a centimeter of it - you look silly.

I wouldn't draw a lot of conclusions from a 30s clip from a far right news source. I know there are people who intake a lot of Biden's comments from the debates and watch his interviews in entirety and come to the conclusion he's lost a step, and that's fine. But the people that watch a cherry picked 30 second clip posted by 'TRUMP LIBERTY BONER' on twitter and assume his brain is melting are truly annoying. What did you think of the other 44 minutes and 30 seconds of that round table by the way?

Oxford Vaccine could be a game changer. I believe by end of June they should have results from human trials - possible ready for mass production by fall. Definitely the most promising of the vaccine possibilities.

I think the message early on was, "Masks are more important for our medical workers, not the general public, you don't need them at this time". I suspect they knew masks would be beneficial for the public, but if they said that, well you know what happened with toilet paper. Hospitals couldn't afford an even bigger shortage of PPE, and if you told people masks helped, well hospitals would have been seriously f'd.
