  1. I saw Paul play three times this year and he is an awesome receiver. Still needs work at DB but started to show improvement at the end of the year. I hope he is utilized on the offense by Nebraska.
  2. All recruits are a gamble anyhow and if we have a chance to take such an awesome athlete then take it. The acedemic support at NU is touted to be so great then they have a good project to work with. We would have been in the same situation last year if Powe had committed to us.
  3. In his interview with 1620 Ron Freeman said he feared Nebraska switching Josh to defense. The Freemans may have glimpsed the future watching the Nebraska-Michigan game and Ron Freeman may prove prophetic. Michigan DT Alan Branch is a former QB that outgrew his position while still in high school yet is still very athletic at 6-6, 323.
  4. Roberts bio includes working as offensive coordinator at Notre Dame (1994-96), he was head coach at Baylor (1997 and '98) then was the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at South Carolina from 1999-2004. Earlier this year he tried for the Head Coaching job at Sam Houston State which Turner Gill also tried for.
  5. Last night the Channel 6 news mentioned that Roberts would be filling the position vacated by Downing.
  6. While Cate was a big loss as a player, his dad would have been a good booster for the program years to come.
  7. It appears that he still has Nebraska on his radar. His senior stats were impressive with 111 receptions, 1780 yards and 24 tds. Add to that rushing for 145 yards on 18 carries with 5 tds. Factor in 13 punt returns for a 23.77 average , 17 kickoff returns for a 36.65 average, and 7 interceptions on defense. Between the three he added another 5 touchdowns to his totals. Does the Nebraska future hold several McElroy to Carpenter TD combinations? I hope so!!!
  8. Why is Homer not getting any respect? He was a two time all state selection. Was it because he didn't improve his tackle totals from his junior to senior seasons? 112 tackles with 85 unassisted were still pretty good.
  9. I saw in USA Today that he led him team to the Texas 5A state title with a 16-0 record. His monster stats included 4,687 passing yards and a 5A state-record 56 touchdowns. After one year of football this kid blossomed quick and would be a huge get for NU.
