As far as unifying the fan base, as soon as this announcement is made, it will instantly unify the fan base more than it has been in a long, long time. Winning and being successful will tighten those bonds even more.

I'd think that if Frost & Co. win today, that Frost and his team would like to celebrate... leads me to think it'll be announced Sunday as opposed to today.

As far as the Wilson kid goes, I thought he was pretty overrated coming out of HS, and apparently Oregon felt the same once they got him on campus. That being said, if Frost wants to bring him in, I trust his judgment.

I'm honestly not expecting a whole lot from this class, considering he's not going to have a full cycle. Next year, however, I'll be disappointed if we don't land a Top 15 class.

I've heard the rumors that his wife loves it there and doesn't want to move to Lincoln... I'd like to assume that Frost told her sometime during their courtship that if the Nebraska HC job were to ever become available and he was offered the position, that he would take it. I mean I think that'd be a deal breaker if she wouldn't have gone along with it.

Well, I have read the quotes from his DC saying how "we love Orlando and don't want to leave" so that part checks out somewhat... of course I think he's just hinting that he wants the HC position. I guess it's possible that some of his coordinators are saying they want to stay, but I figured Frost would likely tell them that he's leaving, and if they want to come that's great, but if they want to stay behind he'll understand that too

I remember being in New Orleans when the NFL draft was going on, back when Ricky Williams was going to be drafted. Mike Ditka was the HC of the Saints of the time, and he was looking to make a splash, and they traded basically all of their picks away to move up and get Williams. And there was a 90-something year old woman there (in a wheelchair due her age and fragility), who had been a Saints fan ever since they first came in to the league, and when the Saints drafted Williams she was weeping tears of joy, she was so happy and convinced that the Saints might actually win something (at the time, I don't think they had ever won a playoff game). She just sat there and wept, and was just so darn happy, and I'm not a Saints fan, but I felt happy for her. I imagine that's how I'm going to feel when Frost is officially announced, and the fan base comes together again as one, and we actually are given the chance to climb out of this pit of despair we've been in for nearly 20 years. It's a feeling that I haven't had in quite a while, as far as this program is concerned: HOPE.

I hope that Frost convinces Gebbia to stay. I'd really like to see what he can do, and if he's a good one, he could wind up a potential 4-year starter, if we're lucky.

No way does the Tennessee/Schiano deal get finalized. Currie (their Eichorst-esque AD) will likely get canned, and they'll try to follow the Nebraska blueprint.

Gotta feel a little bad for Tennessee. They're pretty much in the same position as we are, and their AD seems to be inept on Eichorst-like levels.

I don't think they're necessarily upset -- he's a good coach, and it's a solid hire, but not the sexy hire they were hoping for.

I heard Morris is interested in the Ole Miss job. If A&M opens up, I'd think he'd be interested in that opening as well.

I don't see Fisher nor Patterson leaving for A&M. If Sumlin bolts, I'm not sure who they'll target.
