  1. The answer to this question has changed like 4 times since this thread was opened so I say we close it and hope this one sticks.
  2. I was feeling all excited until I read this and now I am just hoping we've improved a lot.
  3. My wife's maiden name is McCaffrey, think I can swing it and get in?
  4. Speaking of transfers I wonder if our new transfers can get eligible this year. Curious about Ezra Miller and Oliver Martin.
  5. "Callicant for governor!" One of my favorite from 2007.
  6. The 21 day holdout is supposedly to allow for quarantine and then cardiac evaluation after a positive in order to clear the player. So, they are still holding onto the cardiac concerns that have been shot down multiple times and prominent doctors who specialize in athletics have said is not a cause for concern based on current data and reports. Got it.
  7. They are going to show as little of NU as possible.
  8. Oh got ya! I was thinking it was something about only playing 8/9 games, but I think they said if bowls happen it's still the win at least 50% threshold.
  9. Why is a lot of the conference ineligible for a bowl game?
  10. As petty as they've been throughout this whole process that's what this is. They wanted their reporters to break the news and the hot mic messed that up. They are trying desperately to control the narrative of their total botch job.
  11. They literally pushed the start date back to the 24th and forced these kids to miss 21 days with a positive diagnosis so that a joke of a team like Rutgers would vote yes and they could be "unanimous" in their decision. I'm glad football is back, but the B1G leadership continues to be a joke.
  12. You couldn't make up a better dumpster fire than the B1G.
  13. No it won't the NCAA already ruled that whether teams play or not this year they will not lose a year of eligibility.
  14. A Minnesota regent was on the Finebaum show saying he wasn't informed of the decision to cancel the season and Tom Mars and others have speculated that could be in violation of the B1G bylaws which theoretically the NU lawsuit could expose. Also speculating that there is an agreement that if football is reinstated the NU lawyers won't release the discovery that had to be turned over which aligns with...
  15. Yes that's true, but I don't think Barry Alvarez is going to be speaking out of turn with his president. He's towed the line throughout this process with his comments.
  16. I swear if Rutgers screws this up for us... Alvarez was quoted as saying they could be ready in as little as 3 weeks and he wasn't worried about the current pause in athletics. So, I don't think Wisconsin would be out. Rutgers is obviously the worthless program here, which we knew.
  17. Tom Mars tweeted about another report along these lines and it should technically disqualify them from voting based on the B1G bylaws (Mars had a copy at one point).
  18. Rutgers shouldn't be able to hold up schools like NU and OSU. Let's vote then out first.
  19. Yacht says it's on! Meanwhile legitimate reporters say a vote will happen this weekend at the earliest, ha.
  20. I think it's interesting that OSU and NU have really increased the aggressiveness of their messaging lately. Both states AG's getting involved. Carter was a lot more sharp with comments yesterday, Day's press release and then OSU's president earlier today was commenting about how top notch their testing ability is and NU announces a partnership for testing themselves and opponents. There is some pretty major wrangling going on behind the scenes, but this all feels very coordinated by NU and OSU leaders.
  21. I mean the B1G isn't even trying at this point. The PAC12 has a partnership, the Big 12 has one, NU went and got their own. The B1G has some of the best medical campuses in the country and they can't partner with someone for testing to get sports going?
