  1. There were times against TCU the Frogs' D Line was no where ready for the CU pace. I'm not convinced we're practicing fast enough, and we certainly don't execute that way right now. I think it's another problematic variable for us.
  2. Rhule was really tight. ever y in-game frame he was licking his dry mouth. Nerves first game? Very understandable. I think the guys also press thinking it's on them to restore Husker glory. Tight play.
  3. How is touting Husker Power and "dominant contact," being a run-first physical team...and then throwing the ball three straight times for a three-and-out, when winning, an attempt to stay within themselves? How is playing Grant, notably loose with the ball, who then fumbles, staying within themselves? I'm not seeing it.
  4. Did you guys see a view where our receivers couldn't get open? On Sims' first pick, I saw the short receiver open for 6 when Jeff decided a lob to the Minny DB was the play. I saw a view where a QB could not make progressions and used poor mechanics to deliver the ball to option A...his seemingly only option.
  5. They certainly didn't seem rattled when getting down or losing momentum. We seem to fold every game if/when that happens, from the Staff to the players. They play with little fear and zero concern by what others think. This looseness worries me. I don't see us winning this game.
  6. Comfortable lead? I'm worried about bing down 17 to CU fast. How are we going to stop them? How are we going to come back when we can't pass reliably? Matt gave us clues to the Minny game we may have ignored. Grant is fumbling. The Offense has Fall practice procedural issues. We saw those exact things at Minnesota. And he has also said "It's not how we start the season but can we get better each week." This last one I see as a hedge. Lastly, we have a veteran team that has only seen close-loss failures. Can we recover mentally? I think CU handles us next Saturday as much as I hate typing this out.
  7. How much will we run if we get in a hole early? They're explosive, and Sims could throw it to anyone on the field at any moment.
  8. This Board is unraveled. We choke in game 1. PRIME wins his road opener against a top 20.
  9. For sure. Why try for a conference game when you can save your best for a less relevant game?
  10. This will change. We'll be an underdog going into next Saturday.
  11. I don't see a way Nebraska wins the game next week. I don't see how Nebraska makes a bowl this year.
  12. TCU mixing backend DB confusion keeps the ball in Sanders' hands longer, but can our front 6-7 get to him?
  13. Sure, but we showed nothing on O last week that shows me we can come back through the air if down sizably against CU. And CU's O looks more potent than Minnesota's.
  14. TCU really only can move the ball through the air. Doesn't bode well for us.
  15. A lot of best will be placed on CU for us next week. Wouldn't be surprised if we go in as underdogs.
  16. I also learned we can trust the coaching Staff to tell us what is going to happen. 1. Grant has had ball control issues. - Rhule 2. The Offense had scrimmage procedural issues. - Rhule 3. The Defensive dominated the Offense scrimmage 1. - Rhule Too close to game time to get those fixed, apparently. I guess we can just listen to coach and understand what issues we'll have that week+.
  17. The horror that was the end of the 2nd Quarter, two timeouts both blown to nothing, makes Clock Management an F right there. Inexcusable.
  18. Fox's coverage of Colorado is an embarrassment. "Deion is like the sun, college football revolves around him." Comparing Travis Hunter, a generational talent, to Charles Woodson. Just slightly less embarrassing than our coaching and offensive decisions on Thursday.
  19. To note, the % chance of losing all of those games collectively, at these peak win %, is .000000049% And we found a way
  20. A formative time for the offense and what I learned about this staff. We threw the ball to Haarburg coming across the flat, after in-motion, in the first half. Nice play. We brought him in one more time on O and ran the same play in the 2nd. He was option 1, Sims, who struggles with progressions didn't have him, and it was a mess of an incompletion. Too predictable. What I learned? The offense killed us. They HAVE to be better. And Minny needed miracles to win. All were answered. No shock.
