Well I try to be cordial and open minded but from what I have seen from this forum is a ratio of 10:1 Liberal/Conservative. That would drive me crazy too having to fight off all you nut jobs lol. So cheers to Ric because it sounds like you're my only ally here.

So tell me again how our democracy is in danger of surviving Trump. Which for the record, America isn't actually a Democracy but rather a Constitutional Republic for everyone that that keeps calling it that.

What I said was taken out of context so thank-you for being fair and acknowledging that. But exactly what threat does Trump pose to our "Democracy?" This is nothing new, we hear this same story over and over again from the opposing party claiming that the current POTUS is abusing their power and destroying the the foundation of America. If I remember correctIy I can recall Obama saying "I have a pen and a phone" because he couldnt pass legislation through Congress. And he did just that, he signed executive order after executive order bypassing Congress and abusing the power that our founding fathers didn't invision. If our"democracy" was able to survive eight years under under Obama, I'm sure it will survive another eight years under President Trump.

And Rush says a lot of dumb stuff as well. Trump is not a dictator, our country is protected by checks and balances. America has had a lot of horrible Presidents over the years including Barrack Obama. If someone doesn't believe the U.S. can withstand one American President then they must not have much faith in a system that has been around for nearly 250 years.

No, I never claimed the civil right movement was a bad thing. But obviously it was one of many challanges that our country went through.

No, not with the civil rights movement. I'm saying that with everything this country has gone through over the years and survived, Trump is not going to be the downfall.

Sorry, I am obviously new here so feel free to put me in my place. But this has to be one of the most ridiculous questions I have ever seen on a forum. Pretty sure America survived WW1, WW2, and the Civil War. The depression, civil right movements, and corrupt politicians/presidents. So I'm pretty sure America can survive a president that God forbid is a self proclaimed Nationalist rather then a Globalist.

It's alright to disagree with an appointed official, that's what the 1st amendment is all about. I hated the Obama administration for eight long years, but I didn't cry about about it.

And I was thinking that too, but it seemed as though we struggled more closing those gaps last Saturday then some other teams this year with mobile qb's. But that could be just me.

I'm seeing a lot of improvement from week one to today, but that's how it should be if you're fairly healthy. What made me want to rip my hair out is our failure to make stops on 3rd down, especially 3rd and long. I see major improvements there along with our ability to now force turnovers. What I think hurts us the most is missed assignments, tackling, and the ability to put together a good pass rush. Get that figured out and we probably look like a decent defense. What I don't understand is how we can play solid against OSU most of the game but struggle filling gaps against Illinois. Seems like our defense can show up in the bigger games but struggles in the games that we should win. Saw this last year from UCF most of the season until they played Auburn, then their D showed up to play. With that being said, I dont think we're going to see a high caliber defense anytime soon. Not really recruiting that well on D and not quite sure if our coaches have the ability to flip 3 stars and walk ons into big time playmakers. But as long as I see continuous improvements from year to year I'll be content.
