  1. The thing that stands out to me about that list of players is a lot of those names saw significant playing time. I see 1 maybe 2 that I think we might see in the NFL as lower round draft picks/free agent pickups. That's a telling sign to me about what SF inherited.
  2. I see 7-5, maybe 8-4 if SF can get a signature win (PSU, WIS) Winning the West is a very very long longshot. Last year we were competitive against OSU, this year against WIS & Iowa after being blown out repeatedly the last few years. That would happen in the past against the Oklahomas, Miami's, & Florida States til OZ started recruiting the right talent and we had monstrous success. We get the right recruits for Frost's system we can be a national presence again but it will take 5 years imo. GBR
  3. The silver lining to me is if Washington can get his act turned around, a healthy WanDale, Spielman, Mills, Luke, even a healthy A-Mart this team can compete. Having WanDale for this game and I think we are easily bowling this year. 2019 was a step back but I'm still optimistic for 2020. GBR!
  4. Mills is bringing it and dragging them along with him!
  5. Turning into a street fight. and we're holding our own. where were these junkyard dawgs all game??
  6. All you A-Mart haters!! Didn't notice we were winning the air war?? 43 yards to 39 yards!
  7. At Oregon and UCF Frost had athletes who could take those little bubble screens and make people miss. Here not so much. He needs to adjust his playcalling to suit the talent and counter the defenses. That's why the options seems to usually work.
  8. Sorry Packland. Bo also got 4 blow out losses every year. This team got pushed around by Indiana and Purdue.
  9. We've been bleeding the NEBRASKA way since OZ left. Solich stemmed the bleeding with the last of OZ's recruits and staff. Then Callahan, he could at least recruit and kept it afloat a little. Bo drove it on the rocks cussing everyone out and then Riley took it out and was a smiley while the rest of the league put a cap in our a$$. So Frosty inherits a program on life support. We have few playmakers (Washington, WanDale and Spielman) Mill and Martinez are capable. The O-Line and D-line will all be competing for the same arena league spots. The LBs better hit the books hard and get their degrees. Our best players are the freshman and sophomores. Gonna take a little time but there's still a heartbeat.
  10. Coaching only goes so far. 2 OL on that screen and both whiff? They know the assignment and failed. We run 9 guys to the sideline on that kickoff and leave 2 for the wide side? Those are mental errors by the players. They've been playing since they were in pee wee. This is internal discipline and effort. Stupid and lazy.
  11. Iowa goes to Victory formation at the half
  12. Iowa's rb's can just stop running midplay and wait for their O-line to push ours 10 yards down field.
  13. Word on the street is the staff is following the huskerboard for advice on what to do. Hurry! oh crap another screen for a loss
  14. Hardest hit of the day!! Our own player flattens our punter.
  15. According to the new established scale: We suck to the 5 shirt sleeve level. Until we get to 2 or fewer shirt sleeves we will get pushed around.
  16. Nebraska in a 3-4 is a disaster. Do not have the personnel or speed to cover the edge so its a friggin superhighway around either end.
  17. crappy tackling, people out of position. Is this a rerun??
  18. maybe the O-Line is up there saying "Are we going left?" " who do I block again?"....
  19. better off not catching that. we get fooled by everything and fool no one
  20. That was a strange move I will admit. get a stop here.
  21. Perhaps the reason for the decline is the players we lost last year were better than the remaining Riley recruits. Frost still has mostly the youth. So he has piss poor leadership and no buy in from the most senior class. I have faith Scott will get it done but I also agree that some staff changes need to be made. Purdue killed us by dinking and dunking on us and of course the epidemic of missed tackles. Frost needs to light a fire under Amart a$$. When he finally gets aggressive its like watching a light switch turn on. We abused the Big 10 when we were in the Big 12. Minn 84-0, Mich State 51-10, so it can be done.
  22. It's a (right now) toxic combination of lack of senior leadership (speaks to Riley leaving the cupboard bare), horrible fundamentals, current coaching not adapting in real time, transitioning to new systems, play calling a little predictable, injuries and the lack of the Nebraska want to. Being defeated in the trenches on both sides of the bal l. The pass rush has nothing to do with coaching, they can improve technique sure but there was 0 fire. There are no Trev's Danny's, Barrett's or LaVonte's out there on the black (and blue) shirts.
