Washington will gain the Oregon Televisions and Stanford or Cal gain 7x more federal grant funding than Oregon. Washington nearly doubles Oregon's televisions as well. Populations respectively 7.78 mil and 4.3 mil so there's that. I'd like to see Washington join. I'd also like to see either Cal or Stanford. (Heck, we all like to hug our trees on occasion, yes?) The only argument for Oregon is USC and UCLA need locals.. Sure Oregon has had athletic success of late but in the B1G do you think they're success will continue especially knowing the bias officiating in B1G? Mav, you're a journalist, what are the federal grant fund comparisons for 2022 between Washington/Cal/Stanford/Oregon?

I can see Washington getting an invite but not Oregon. Especially with Virginia & North Carolina waiving their hands as they jump and scream "hey, over here"... both are huge federal grant funded schools where as Oregon is like 150th (or worse) and there's more television revenue in the Virginia and N. Carolina markets as well.

@Xmas32 If memory serves I believe it was an internal issue that was never revealed. Bolt was using him as a bullpen guy and intending to use him as a closer. My assumption was that Bragg didn't agree so he transferred.

Call me shocked but I guess when managers start playing baseball instead of letting the kids run the asylum then results like this happen. Wonder if Trev might have said something to Bolt because Bolt refused to play any type of winning ball outside of "swing away boys" all year long. I hope Bolt is feeling the heat. I get where you thought I was saying that PSU would sweep them. I think they win the saturday game but the other two, those are toss ups. My statement you quoted is confusing. I think they end the season 3-3 at best (win 2 this weekend, 1 next weekend) though I won't be surprised if they go 2-4 with 1 win only at home and at purdue. 12-12 to end the season. exactly where they were predicted to be. The "if" you left out is "if" they earn a spot. Watch, watch this team lose both remaining series not because they're not the better team but rather because they don't care. The effort won't be there this weekend and they're on the road next weekend. Maybe they'll play with a little more emotion against Purdue considering the lack of sportsmanship displayed to the huskers by Purdue last year but the lack of leadership displayed lately makes me think we win only the saturday game against purdue and finally the season of hope ends.

All bets are off??? This team hasn't shown they have the desire to win. As for fans showing up, I wouldn't bet on that. (Especially if our first game is early) Truthfully, why should we? Why should we support a team that doesn't want to win? Why pay inflated costs at the ballpark, inflated ticket costs, have you purchased a beer at a sporting event lately? Gas prices sky rocketing, groceries over priced, inflation out of control and nearly 75% of the nation living paycheck to paycheck. Why should any of us support these entitled, self centered, selfish, privileged pretenders? It's not the coaches that are the issue. Pelini won here and was fired. Erstad won here and mostly left because the administration or lack there of.. Danny Nee won here, also fired? Our fans deserve more. They deserve more from the players, from the staffs, from the athletic department personnel and the university pencilneck board of regents. That won't happen until the fan base stops participating. This athletic department has, is and continues being the laughing stock of power 5 schools. I mean heck we've to this date never won a March madness game. We can't qualify for a post season bowl game when 84% of all teams do. This school has the luxury of a never ending cash cow fan base and yet for reasons that are a mockery this university can't field a single post season team. This university should be ashamed to call themselves competitive because they know and every school they face off against knows they aren't.

Yep, after these last 3 weeks of ho hum play I decided to take back the 3 days I was taking off for the B1G tourney. The team doesn't care to represent the state and fans so I decided I don't care to represent them. Won't even watch it on tube.. Yep, butt hurt again, not sure why I care so much. Wish I didn't but I do. Maybe fishing is the answer or more golf. At least those don't raise my blood pressure by 20 points. Guys/Gals ... enjoy the series loss this weekend and next. Then the season is over and Bolt and Company can give us excuses for such lackluster performance. Question is, will anyone care? Even the fanbase is showing their displeasure. Should have/could have had multiple sellouts, instead Trev and company have to come up with gimmicks to try and convince fans to show. This is Nebraska men's athletics now. How many times will donors have to step up and buy unsold tickets this coming season to continue the sellout streak? O/U guess is 4

Bolt can't manage Staff can't develop Players have zero energy and absolute zero effort Is it football season yet? (yes, likely another crap season of another Men's sport) At this rate the B1G schools have every right to tell their administrators to kick Nebraska to the curb. They can't make a bowl game They can't make post season play in basketball Outside of wrestling their other men's programs are a laughing stock and every school in the B1G knows Nebraska is a certain dub!! Worst Men's athletic department in the B1G (Rutgers & Maryland are better, how sad is that?) Thanks Bolt and company (players & staff) for taking our money and giving nothing in return. NOTHING!!!

We don't bunt. We can't steal bases Honestly, it appears to me the players are intentionally tanking. In all my years of watching husker sports this is by far the worst display of any Husker program. Much worse than even Mike Riley's last team or Frost's final 2 teams.

This kind of surprised me.. I was certain he'd remain as I felt he was going to see extended playing time. Not sure why he felt he should move on. This darn transfer portal, I can't decide where I stand on it. I mean heck yes I like it when the sker's benefit but dang nabbit... it stinks when it negatively effects our programs!!!!

Home Runs are great but good starting pitching, a deep bullpen, the ability to advance runners, steal bases, hit with runners in scoring position, those are the things that win ball games. Hit 100 home runs and do nothing else good and see where that gets you. Think it's time for bolt to either replace coaches or move on. This teams performances are at best pathetic.

3 weeks ago this thread would have been popping, then we lose 2 to the Maverics and well.. swept by Iowa while also losing to SDSU. Seems everyone, including me, has lost any and all excitement for the season. Sad, team has talent, just lacking in everything else. Hopefully they can get a win tonight and if the stars align just right, maybe at least 1 win this weekend.

Players have quit. Sadly, like me and my faith in the team, I think everyone (including the players) is ready to move onto football. The post season is another dream of wishful thinking.

Lincoln ballers are in it only for themselves. In football, in basketball, in baseball, in every men's sport. (Wrestling the exception).

Doesn't matter... The only chance we have at post season is to win the automatic bid and we all know we don't have the arms for that. Heck, we don't have the skill for that. (We'll be in the LOSER'S bracket after round 1 of the BIG tourney and end the season 1-2 in it.) Gotta say, we've seen this time and again.. Coaches refusing to fire assistants. Instead, let's blame the players. Bolt terminated half the team last year.. We still can't hit (especially with runners in scoring position), we have some good arms (good enough to get us to the post season) but our starters lack confidence (and that's coaching). We don't know how to play small ball.. Dang It.. I keep saying "we".. I'm nobody. Change we to "they". Another group of prima donna's that are hear for the fun and not the effort. John Coons was behind the plate. Everyone (well most everyone) should know his name. Nebraska has had run ins with him in the past. He should never be allowed to step on a field in a Huskers vs Anybody game. That said, he called a very clean game yesterday and it was refreshing to see. Olson is off right now as evident by his last two starts. Kaminska might do better today. (cold weather usually favors the pitcher) We need to win the series.. losing 1 game is not the end. Hoping it's not a shoebox zone tonight but after seeing the crazy amount of pitches in the Michigan Rutgers series last weekend (330+ combined in 71/2 innings) I won't be holding my breath. Is this kind of like "holding on the offensive line"? meaning, am I wrong in thinking nearly every pitcher uses "the substance" and yet rarely are they called out for it? like holding could be called on every play theory, could questionable substance be called on every pitcher? Serious question as I've no idea?
