I don't fully agree with the post bc I think Nebraska has a high ceiling if they can get it rolling but being honest about the talent assessment is real. Dabo and Saban make dumb calls but it doesn't matter most weeks. They've got multiple 1st round picks to cover them up. I think Scott is smart but he needs a margin for error.

That's been Frost's philosophy since day 1. I'm sure he'd like a more consistent running game but big plays on both sides are what he's betting on. Ideally our defense would force TOs and our explosive offense would put up huge points. Waiting for Scott's plan to deliver.

Agree with the overall sentiment but we need better horses. Not enough difference makers on either side of the ball. Stars and ratings matter. Need to get back to having half our starters on each side getting drafted.

I agree. I think we all hoped it would be a smoother road. Reality is a bitch.

I think every coach since TO has struggled with this. He built a culture to withstand the praise and inevitable scrutiny. Frost understood it as a player but it's a different animal being the leader of the entire program.

This is a long/medium term rebuild. I think a lot of fans including myself were whistling past the graveyard when it came to talent. No player was drafted after last season. Frost isn't off the hook but this thing isn't going to happen as fast as I'd hoped. Until it starts to click there's going to be a lot of grin and bearing it. Still a big believer in Frost but it's about improvement and getting to a bowl game this year imo.
