  1. LOL, nice dude. Is it because this kid does not have stars next to his name that you state "I hope this one is a walk-om offer"? Tyjon Lindsay had 5 stars and we all witnessed how the stars next to a kid's name cultivated a mindset of entitlement and zero work ethic. I hope this kid comes in and busts his butt off and earns a starting spot. I actually will go on record and make statement that this kid will have a bigger impact on this program than Tyjon Lindsay, Jayvon Mcquity, Keshawn Johnson Jr., etc... Kids like this are the foundation of the culture Frost is building, not those entitled star studded brats.
  2. (1) Vedral starts because he makes quick decisions, is a better passer, and runs when appropriate. (2) Inside the 5 yard line its power football. (3) I start youth at LB these last four games. (4) Lamar Jackson can start, but I allow younger guys to get playing time. If LJ won't tackle, he's on the bench. (5) Nebraska shifts to the I-formation and starts running power football. You cannot be a power football team and not be tough.
  3. My vote is the linebackers. I do not think we have the talent, nor do we have a position coach to mitigate the lack of talent. Ruud had zero experience coaching the position until Frost hired him last year. Recruiting is also a concern. Our linebackers are constantly out of position, they lack discipline, and struggle immensely setting the edge. Nebraska also does not have a legitimate LB who can rush off the end. If there is anything that needs to addressed it is out LB coaching. thoughts?
  4. Other way around. If we were winning by two or three touchdowns, the underclassmen would play. My theory is: Frost is stubborn. He won’t pull kids or fire coaches because he doesn’t want to admit he made a mistake.
  5. Do you smell the s#!t frost is cooking
  6. 1-8 on the road in two years
  7. What direction are the huskers going? We have a veteran Dline yet cannot get pressure
  8. Who said anything about being fired. Our play calling is s#!t, and frost blames the players. That’s a sure way to lose a team.
  9. You think this is going in the right direction?
  10. Did not recruit and continue to play Martinez. The players don’t respond to frost and we did not lose because of talent. Our coaching is a damn joke and our QB is not good. Martinez misses open receivers and frost is uninspiring. power running is our identity. Frost is just as bad as Callahan. Today was the first day I questioned frost. He makes $5 million a year. If anyone of us had these results in our job we would be unemployed
  11. I get it, Frost needs time, I will never refute that. But do people honestly believe that Riley's recruits are so imbued with a loser mentality and indolence that no matter what coach Frost does, these players cannot be motivated? I know Bo had a plethora of NFL talent by Callahan, I get that Frost was not put in the same fortuitous position; however, on paper and common sense tells me there should be enough talent to not get gang banged by Minnesota and lose to Indiana, and blow a twenty-point lead to an atrocious CU team.
  12. Alright, but Bo inherited players from Callahan and I am certain the narrative was strikingly similar. Point is, this is Scott's team. Scott's job is to motivate and get these boys to buy in. I am afraid this loser culture will permeate into the underclassmen.
  13. When Frost makes comments about players on the team just being OK, and not really caring about being great, players not being dialed in, Wandale Robinson having to call out upperclassmen for not buying in, is that not a reflection on Frost and an inability to inspire and relate to his players? Second, are these players starters? and if so, why are they starting if they are not bought in? I know Riley and Eichorst left this program in crumbles, but at what point do we question if Frost can motivate his players? I have not seen it, it seems like the older players don't like him.
  14. Maybe someone with a better understanding of the X's and O's can explain to me what the sources of our defensive struggles are? Indiana runs to the edge and they are uncontested. Its 3rd and 7 and the Indiana QB gets to the edge and gets a first down. Indiana QB has 6 seconds in the pocket the entire game. IS the problem talent? or is it coaching? or is it both? I also am starting to think that the older guys are not sold on Frost. I see the Davis twins onstantly getting dumbshi* penalties. I see our CB's getting constantly smoked. I heard an interview a couple months back after Lamar Jackson got a pick, and instead of talking about how the play helped his team, Lamar talks about how its nice to get an interception on film for the NFL. Our defense lost this game today. Our third string QB was adequate enough to wins this game for us
  15. Watching Nebraska these last couple of seasons, I thought I would see an offense that resembled Oregon and UCF. The closest thing that resembled those two offenses was when Noah Vedral came in late against Northern Illinois. Vedral was very smooth running the system by the way. However, I also was amazed at how smooth the offense, particularly Adrian Martinez, looked running out of the I formation. Based on Frost's O-Line recruiting the last couple of cycles, it looks like he is recruiting absolute monsters: Bryce Benhar, 6-9 Brant Banks, 6-7 Matthew Anderson, 6-6 Jimmy Fritzche, 6-7 Turner Corcoran, 6-6 Alex Conn, 6-6 These O-line are all taller than most of the boys from the 1994 pipeline. For example, Brendan Stai was 6-4. It is my belief that Frost is building his program with a major focus on the offensive line being the foundation. Luke Mccaffrey and Logan Smothers are running first quarterbacks with blazing speed. Anyways, thoughts? agree? disagree?
  16. It absolutely stinks we have to wait more time with Frost as oppose to Pelini, but Pelini inherited a vastly superior team from an overall talent aspect. The issue is that Eichorst and Riley did a real bang up job on this program. Just look at the depth. My point is that we have a head coach who understands how much this program means to the people of Nebraska and its fans. Frost understands it is unacceptable to lose like we did yesterday. Frost's post game was filled with emotion. The hype sort of distorted rationality. If this team wins 7 games but is competitive in every game this year, I will believe this trending in a good direction. Colorado is a rival, they were not going to lay down and quit. Now Frost is charged with figuring out how to instill a killer mentality in his players. This team needs to learn how to deliver the coup de gras.
  17. I have faith that Scott Frost will right this ship. I was at the game yesterday, and it was heartbreaking, frustrating, and a let down. But we must all remember that we have a head coach who cares about this program. I have faith Frost is trying to rebuild this thing the right way. Callahan despised the Osborne legacy, Pelini was not mentally stable to handle the pressure, Riley did not care. I don't even need to get started with the Eichorst. I know we have a coach who bleeds for this program. Frost inherited a team that was not held accountable. It was embarrassing seeing the physical difference between the Huskers and teams like Michigan and Iowa. I believe the hype is part of why we all feel so bad and have lost perspective on where this program was the last few years. It is clear Martinez in not comfortable and the run game is an issue. This team is young, there is a lot of growing that needs to occur, from the players to the head coach, but I have faith that Scott Frost has the programs best interest at heart and will find a way to turn this around. Next week this team will respond in a big way. I expect to see a lot more zone read and designed runs for Martinez. Go Big Red NU 48 NIU 17
