  1. Seems like a conference realignment discussion not just a football discussion. Getting the Kansas basketball property would justify bringing a s#!tty football program into the mix.
  2. Kansas basketball is a gold mine. KU brings in almost as much money as OU does primarily based on basketball.
  3. Well no, I’m not going to agree they are being “obstinate”. I was using your verbiage for these people. So what’s the harm in taking that hesitancy away. I’m not gonna judge what people think is valid concern for them unless it’s totally outrageous like microchips in vaccines. If someone wants to see the FDA approve the vaccine before taking it I don’t agree but understand.
  4. I already understood what the guidance was, I was more wondering if they have collected actual data on the question so they can promote that to the previous Covid positive but current unvaccinated population.
  5. I wouldn’t classify them as morons. Some very smart people fall into this skepticism. another thing to do is Maybe the NIH should publish some information on hospitalization/death risks for people who have already had Covid-19 previously, are not vaccinated, but get re-infected vs hospitalization rates for those vaccinated. If that data has been published already, then make a bigger show of it. Does natural immunity prevent hospitalization and death as much as vaccination. Those vaccine skeptics would like to know I’m guessing
  6. For some people that could be the case since it’s just authorized at this point. Hopefully approval helps change people’s minds.
  7. Actually it’s just a regular approval in a bit shorter timeframe. We don’t need the super deluxe version.
  8. That’s possible, but in fairness, knowing more about beer than someone else doesn’t really matter when the same beer is given out to everyone. But I’m all for whatever appeases people to get the vaccine.
  9. Yep, I put hospitals in a different category.
  10. And you would now be correct. Kinda what people should be doing. Say what they say
  11. No I didn’t. What I insinuate is looking at what extent hospitalizations follow, and then the rate deaths follow hospitalizations. maybe Delta is more virulent but less lethal. Maybe the case counts are catching more vaccinated people than we thought so the other two outcomes will not happen to the extent they did prior to vaccinations.
  12. I guess the FDA can take that crutch away anytime they please, so these people can move on to the next crutch and we no longer have to talk about it.
  13. Yes, some are Millions upon millions of Americans are not fully aware of the development process for drugs, but most understand what it means to them when the FDA approves a drug. I mean some people waited for free beer or free lottery tickets or free giveaways to get vaccinated. Why is it such a thing for people to wait for FDA approval?
  14. Variants of interest sure, variants of concern, not yet unless you know something the rest of the world doesn’t know. did I ever say it wasn’t mutating here? Or did I say variants of concern didn’t originate here?
  15. No, this is the part where I ask you where I ever brought you into that conversation. However if you are one, then I can add you to list and bump the number up by one.
  16. Correct. And people dismissing the concerns of those who are Covid vaccine hesitant really don’t help the issue whatsoever
  17. BTW…these variants of concern are not originating from the US.
  18. Let me then throw it back to you and say what exactly is the FDA waiting for? They make the rules and can change them in extraordinary circumstances. No law that I am aware of is keeping them from approving the vaccines. Those aren’t the people we are talking about which we all very well know.
  19. Because the FDA doesn’t regulate tons of other things in their lives outside of food and drugs. When prominent Scientists and Doctors in this field say it’s a problem and news story after news story say it’s an issue, I will tend to agree with it along with anecdotal evidence of speaking live with people about it. This is especially true for parents getting kids vaccinated. FDA approval is very important in that aspect.
  20. I always took DeSantis’ criticism of Fauci being all the lockdowns and restrictions and not the vaccines unless you have heard different and DeSantis has critiques Fauci for vaccines.
