I work weekend nights (mainframe systems operator) and Tuesday morning my wife woke me up and said she just bought me 2 tickets to the game in Decemeber here in Kansas City!!!! Not only that, they were Club Level seating!!!! This was a birthday present (somewhat late although) but wont complain. So.....I am taking applications for someone to join me, just hope the god Nebraska makes it this year... OOPS, scratch that, my 6 year old son just applied and won, sorry guys!!!!! Hope to see anyone that post on this board there!!

Not sure if this all applies here or not, but down here in KC, on 810AM's "The Boarder Patrol", they were talking about Collier being gone after this season coming up regardless and are worried that NU is somewhat of a sleeping giant, basketball wise. They were talking about Matt Doherty who took over at SMU after handing Roy Williams a national championship team at North Carolina wanting back in the bigtime and NU would be a nice fit for him "when" Collier is fired at seasons end...

I don't know alot about Texas Tech baseball, but I do know that if you mercy rule a team in your conference twice in a 3 game series, that's pretty damn impressive..

I am still confused by this "lost another one" comment...Have read it on a couple of other posts....How many have not qualified? Or is this based on Blankenship leaving and Jackson flip flopping and now back on the team?

Man, we have a couple good recruiting years and now all of a sudden because "things TOO slow" some panic? Course if we would have 6 verbals and all of them were 2 star guys, then there would be a handful complaining about that also....Can't make everyone happy i guess. Now if by the end of the summer and we still ain't got jack sh#t, then i would worry....

According to Scout's recruiting website, there is a heapin' helpin' of "proven" QB's that haven't committed yet, lets start panic mode a little later in the recruiting season..

Just a few things on earlier comments..... If anything we are better off then last year with QB experience; we just now realize how valuable Taylor is. Beck and Ganz were all we had last year also, at least they have another year under their belts. And totally true, if 95% of college teams lose their starting QB, they are in as much of trouble as NU is.

Assume it might be picked up as one of the early national night games, similar to the Texas - Ohio St game this past year being primetime on ABC.

Geeesh, did we just lose the whole team overnight or is this just a bit premature panic as usual from some? Besides Blankenship leaving the team and Henry going JUCO, who else "is dropping like flies"....Sure some of these post were before they knew Jackson is back on the team.

I don't think we should be taking instate talent "just because"..If they don't fit the scheme of things, then why bother?

I have tried a handful of those beers, most of the ones from Germany i have tried. Lived in Germany for 6 years out of my life, so sooner or later you will get the chance to drink up some!

Sure some things are out of the coaches hands...Who knows why he is really leaving, sure there are multiple reasons, not just playing time.

This is the natural progression of college football....Every school has kids leave their program for whatever reason. Leon tried safety and it didn't work, Leon tried IB and it didn't work, so Leon chose to find another option at a different school, end of story. To sit here and blame the coaching staff is a bit crazy. Sooner or later the kids themselves need to take responsibility for their own actions and people need to stop blaming the coaches for everything, gets old to listen to and read.

Doesn't David Glass own most of Walmart? Small market my ass, its called cheap. He can put more money in the team if he wanted to, to make it a winner, but choses not to. Hell, all he has to do is spend in the area of 65 - 80 million to make it a 100% better team.

If he is struggling this much over what he wants to do, then in my opinion, retiring is the wrong answer and one he would most likely regret.

Solich sure as hell didn't, he was fired after going 9-3. Name me a coach that got fired after winning 10 games, please. Bo Pelini, Marvin Sanders, Barney Cotton, etc etc etc. Come here for one year and produce 10 wins and get fired. That is a joke. Suppose life does go on for most of us......

Not sure what you are talking about. This board is extra mild compared the couple i have seen. 95% of the people here seem to agree with most of what is being said. This prick that started this thread is a rare exception from what i have seen.
