We didnt hire the best guy possible with Frost and Pelini. Pelini and Frost were very limited as head coaches. They were good at certain things but not overall. Good at offense or defense but being a head coach not at all. Pelini was never a head coach until he got here and Frost had one year of success and thought bringing the UCF staff with him was going to work. You and I saw the results and they arent here anymore. Pelini isnt even a coach anymore and Frost is hopefully living a good life somewhere. Its not that I feel Nebraska should be entitled to anything but Nebraska players and fans have put the University in the position to be successful and the University hasn't with decisions that have affected that.

You said the key word Blueblood. Yes this program has fallen on hard times and gave shot themselves in the foot way to many times then I can count but the very word you mentioned is the reason why Trev will hire a great coach to bring us back. He knows what it takes and coaches out there know what Nebraska has represented to the game of college football. Just bc you lowered your expectations to think that Nebraska can't win another championship I don't as long as they finally figure it out. I don't expect National Championships every year but what I expect is to be better then certain schools. If or when Nebraska decides to be better by hiring the best guy possible then we will. But nothing takes away that Nebraska is a blue blood even if you don't like where they have been for the last 20 years or so.

Yes but they certainly have a influence even if it's small. That's what is presented to the public to accept the candidates.

I knew the media couldn't let the border state coaches go. Even with Matt Campbell having a losing record he is still a candidate you got to be joking right. Pretty uninspiring list.

Its funny to me how some Husker Fans were making fun of Brian Kelly and his 10 million dollar salary and his early season struggles at LSU. Saying he wasn't worth that type of money. Well look how fast that has changed. They beat Alabama and are rolling. Maybe we should try to do the same bc LSU is getting their money's worth in the investment they put on him.

Well neither was Jackson State before he got there and look at them now. I hate this talk that Nebraska is such a shi**y school that NO GOOD COACH will come here. A GOOD COACH will get hired or so I hope. Definitely hard to judge Mickey on any of this mess bc I'd like to see who he would bring on if given the chance bc none of the guys on the staff are his so called guys.

Right now regardless if Dave Aranda has Baylor at 6-3 he is one of my top choices. Impressive to say the least he beat Oklahoma in Norman today. Its hard enough to beat Oklahoma and on top of that they were the visitors. Great job bc some Husker Fans wrote him off when they got beat against BYU. I never did think he is a great coach.

Well don't count on Husker Fans to want the Army coach he lost to Air Force today.

Minnesota a) is going to run the ball the whole time or b) throw it when we least expect it. Either way the defense has played hard but they been on the field way too much.

Why would a head coach like him downgrade to a oc role? That makes no sense. Now I'd love for Nebraska to offer Urban but Nebraska loves to beat themselves with stupid decisions so we has Husker Fans have to accept that which I have. I hold out for hope that they will eventually change their fortune but who knows.

Man the play calling has been really bad. Haven't really stuck with the run. No sweeps, no quick screens no tempo. Just bad overall.

What evidence do you have to show it's him or any other coach? You don't have a clue who it is bc NOBODY DOES. There hasn't been any evidence to even speculate it's going to be a certain coach. Me too!!!! I just think it's funny that we as Husker Fans speak about one coach one day then we move on to the next one the next day bc we want to be involved in hearing something about who the next coach is going to be. The fact that we haven't tells me that TA is working behind the scenes or has the coach in place hopefully. It's hard enough to compete with other schools when jobs open up and your competing for the same coach to pick your school to coach at.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But Arizona State might want to give MJ a shot bc they know he is a great recruiter and would draw recruits there. Not saying this is going to happen just saying you can't rule it out either like some Husker Fans are doing.

Sean Callahan is a good source that's why I posted it. Regardless of what you think of him, anything goes in today's college football society. I say this bc if MJ is looking for a head coaching job and Nebraska doesn't offer it to him fully then he could potentially go somewhere else for that opportunity. Just bc he loves this University doesn't mean he wouldn't go else where if he didn't want to.
