  1. If there is one then my almost ex brother in law, mother in law and wife started it. They will be ex's in 10 days. Abuse isn't just physical violence. Cheating, gaslighting and scapegoating are all abusive and finances can be used to abuse as well. (My stbx wife engaged in all of those including the physical violence.) Here's a thought, what if the rumors of Mickey catching his wife in the act of cheating are true? Does that change anything in your mind? (It does in mine, his reaction becomes understandable but still unacceptable.)
  2. I was really surprised by that hire and had to do an internet search to find out who he was. Initially I tried to hang my hat on the reports that he did more with less but there was no gold in that pan.
  3. We did, but this is the off season and the critical information I provided in this thread may have been missed by the individual I quoted.
  4. Honestly, I thought it was a joke and I laughed at it. I apologize for offending you.
  5. When I see page numbers at the bottom of each page I tend to believe them but maybe that's just me.
  6. Many Nebraska public schools served chili and cinnamon rolls as one of their lunches and it was my personal favorite. Life tip: NEVER pour the chili over the roll, instead, tear pieces of the roll off and dip them into the chili. You're welcome.
  7. When I click that link it only shows 16 pages. Is this some sort of holiday gag? lol I think you meant page 14. It's interesting that the very last item in his contract allows for being fired without cause. (Page 16 btw.)
  8. How about we just call him by his name?
  9. Me too. Syracuse fans don't and while I can understand why I'm not the least bit sad for them.
  10. I think you're misreading the intent behind my comment.
  11. How does an acknowledgment that times were indeed different back then disregard trauma to victims? We can acknowledge how things were different and learn from mistakes others have made while also not minimizing or ignoring the victims. We can talk about the trauma endured by the victims as part of our own learning processes and how to help those traumatized as a separate topic or as part of this one.
  12. We are both sorta right. Washington and Williams were both involved in incidents involving firearms. My apologies for my somewhat inaccurate memory on this. https://vault.si.com/vault/1995/09/25/coach-and-jury-nebraska-players-charged-with-crimes-have-a-steadfast-ally-in-the-man-who-runs-the-program-tom-osborne No responsible adult would hold onto a gun owned by a college player? If you have no reason to be suspicious of foul play then why not? It's not likely that firearms are allowed in dorms for obvious reasons. I personally once held onto several guns for someone who happened to be moving and wanted them kept safe. In all of the articles I've ever read on this I've never once seen a reason given for why Williams asked Steele to hold onto the gun for him. We simply don't know what reason he gave, although in hindsight his motive is pretty clear. If campus police did know the whereabouts of the gun then how were Osborne and Steele in the wrong for holding the weapon?
  13. From everything I've read on this, Riley Washington asked Osborne to hold a handgun for him and Osborne obliged until he found out the weapon may have been used to commit a murder and then he (Osborne) notified the police. This is completely different than the narrative you are pushing.
  14. I'd say Luck was a disappointment, Sorley wasn't NFl material but imo was better than average. Garcia and Quinn I would agree with being average for college quarterbacks. Thanks for the follow up.
  15. If you weren't talking about those guys, who were you talking about? The guys I mentioned, collectively, played throughout most of the 70's.
  16. I wouldn't call Vince Ferragamo or Dave Humm average and I wouldn't call Jerry Tagge from the 70/71 National Title teams average either when Osborne was the OC under Devaney.
  17. Beating his wife ended up trumping his Iowa win and unfortunately the former will be remembered for far longer than his Iowa win.
  18. Digital Combat Sim. If you like fighter aircraft this is the game to play. This is a B-17 raid I created in the mission editor that has 4 groups of bombers with 3 combat boxes per group. The game has fighter jets also, in fact it has far more jets that it does warbirds. F-86, MiG-15, F-5E, MiG-19, MiG-21, F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18, MiG-29 and quite a few others are in the game. Some are free mods like the A-4E Skyhawk others are included with the FC3 (Flaming Cliffs 3) module. (Multiple MiG and Sukhoi fighters are in the FC3 module plus the A-10A and F-15C). The game itself is free and has limitless replayability via the mission editor. If there is a con to this game it's that you have to purchase individual aircraft but it's also a pro in that you only need to purchase the aircraft you want to fly. You can also try out any aircraft module, including helicopters for two weeks every 6 months and you can try out as many as you'd like before buying any of them. More aircraft are in development including the F-4U Corsair, Eurofighter Typhoon, A-7 Corsair, A-6 Intruder, F-4E Phantom II (a first day buy for me since I was a weapons mechanic on the Phantom) among others. Here's a video of me and a friend flying F-5E's vs 4 MiG-21 Fishbeds. The recording didn't pick up my friends voice so I sound like a crazy man talking to his imaginary friend. All the good stuff happens fairly early. Last Video, a close in knife fight resulting in a gun kill. If anyone wants to try the game I can upload a training mission with three difficulty levels and make a short video on how to tailor it to your needs.
  19. Statistics show that as many as 70% of people in commited relationships will cheat. Sad, but true.
  20. That's exactly how I thought you were coming across. Thanks for the clarification.
