I really believe tech is probably the second best defense we'll see in the regular season (OU best). So I feel confident about taking down the rest of the big 12 BUT the offense has to finish drives.

I guess I'm not reading all the threads with doom and gloom in them.

What doom and gloom? I haven't seen any predictions of a poor season. We're just disappointed.

I loved Suh twisting and slamming taylor to the ground with authority. He played pissed all game and i was impressed!

I have no problem with the playcalling on that last defensive series. I hate prevent defense. They played the same they had all game. The could've been burned many times but tech just couldn't connect on passes.

I'm not doubting Watson's ability. I gave him credit for last season. Just wondering why we force the run against fau on the goal to go but won't give it to helu this time. Mixed message to the offense. I still feel like our identity varies week to week a little too much. I understand adjustments and defensive weakness but i can't help but wonder why roy didn't get the workload when it really mattered.

Are you serious? At full speed you expect a hand diving in to be able to perfectly judge how fast the qb throws the ball.

I listened to it...he didn't sound rude to me. Sounded disappointed. At the end he asked...are we good? and left. That might be the only "rude" thing but it just seemed like Bo to me.

Yeah it was our D line that played phenomenal. The run was shut down quick. Suh was everywhere and his supporting cast got great push up front. Better hope our secondary and linebackers develop quick cause next season won't have that line.

Easy. It's ok to question Watson's playcalling. Not saying he should be fired but let's face it. Wasn't the greatest redzone playcalling today. Had some good calls...the corner pass after the big holding that took away a td...tech obviously didn't expect that. The td was a good call. the scramble by lee before that...but that's about it. 6 redzone opportunities...5 field goals. Can't say that's all player issues.

Agreed. It's tough how many busted plays have been happening these two years. Can you point the finger at bo or are the kids just that screwed up from the last staff? Don't know. I can see the Cody Green argument as silly as it initially sounded. Helu was gashing them for big chunks. Green would've been a nice compliment to that. Thought Lee looked poised in the first half...what happened at half time. Did he not expect to win? As soon as we had the lead...he couldn't hit anything. Yeah...maybe from now on, Bo will just pound the rock! Go grab that 4th down. It's just frustrating to constantly watch other teams beat big teams and we can't seem to pull out a game that was in our back pocket after the opening series. Should've won by 3 or 4 scores. You changed my mind HuskerX. Maybe too many Solich and Callahan years have converted my thinking. We should've taken the game. I guess I just felt more comfortable all game long when our D was on the field. Offense scared me anytime Helu didn't have the ball in his hands.

Don't forget Lee's inconsistency. If he hits gillyen wide open instead of flying out of bounds we score a td. He missed guys all day.

That's why the biggest issue is the offense. We should've put em away early. D held em to 16 points (they scored 50 the week before) and the big kick return to start the game was half of it.

Yep. You could argue it either way. The offense had 5 field goals...gotta have touchdowns.

I'll second the notion that Beemer has sold his soul to win football games.

I just think Watson over thought things too much. Helu was having a monster game. They couldn't stop him when he was given the inside trap play. I mean Watson coaches at colorado and runs that damn counter play on us in 2001 for 4 quick scores but today he gets away from what's working?

I really think the logic is...do we put the pressure on the strength of vtech (the defense) and go for it or punt and put the pressue on their weakness .... seemed like the right call.

The only thing I could think of on that 4th and short was USC trying to ram the ball and giving it to Texas and Vince Young at midfield. As far as the conference...our playcalling better get keep feeding roy the ball when we need him most (ahem...first and goal at the 6!) and tech had some big plays that they let get away. So I am still concerned about winning the north...that said....this will definitely prepare our team for tight games and hostile environments. Lee has to be more accurate though.

The worst part about that hold was he had another lineman right next to him that could've chipped him after he blew the block.

Course tech did drop some wide open passes and taylor just get's rattled too easily...kinda like our qb who was off the mark most of the day
