I was going to say the exact same thing! -
24 hour wins FTW!!!

The punting factors in as a lot of additional wear and tear on his kicking leg. With as bad as our offense was, he put in a ton of work this past year and was still booming towards the end of the year. If anything, the guy from CFN is just going off stats and saw how accurate Ressel was. Henery was forced to be our biggest offensive weapon and one of our top defensive weapons as well. Either way, it's just off season nonsense. I'm sure both guys will have good seasons again next year.

Big Bubba's is open! I wish you guys could hear his radio commercials here: "Even if nobody loves ya, Bubba still loves ya. Have a Bubba-licious day."

PS3 Freezing
GSG replied to HuskerNLimbo's topic in Tech Central - Computers, Games, Phones, A/V, etc.
Are you sure it isn't the game? I personally have only had problems with one game on my PS3's (Madden 08), otherwise they have run fine. Maybe try a few different games to make sure it's not a problem with the unit. I would be surprised if that where the case, but if it is, then my guess is your disc drive is out. Well, its official. I tried all my games, and they won't even load. Then some error came up that said it wouldn't load. Do I just contact Sony and send it back in? If it is anything like the xbox 360 help site, then you should be able to set a claim there and follow the directions for sending them your PS3 and then having them fix it. For reference, I had a problem with my xbox not turning on. I would have to sit there and keep trying the power button, putting the cd in and out, etc. etc. for it to turn on. Eventually, even if I could get the xbox to work, it just would NOT read any cd's. I went to the xbox support website, made a claim (with my xbox 360 serial number), gave them a description of the problem, and then I mailed it out from a FedEx store to their main site in Texas. It took about 10 business days to get it back. I hope you don't have to pay. My xbox warranty had been gone for about a year by the time the problem had surfaced, and I didn't have to pay for anything. They even gave me a free shipping label. Hopefully, you have the same luck. Sorry about your problem. Nothing more frustrating than not having a working piece of electronic equipment. Sony will actually send you a box with custom made foam to support your PS3 and a shipping label. But like I said, if it's outside the warranty, it's going to cost $100-$150. I can't remember the exact price. That stinks about the price. I guess I was fortunate not to have to pay anything, even with the warranty being gone. Perhaps it was because of the specific type of problem I had, more than anything else. They even gave me a 3 month warranty extension following the repair. Yeah, but that includes shipping both ways and any repairs/replacement they might have to do. My first one was free, but the second one wasn't. -

Big Ten can learn from failed 16-team WAC expansion experiment
GSG replied to GSG's topic in Other Sports
I think that's kind of what he's getting at. He probably had a deadline to fill, but it is an interesting comparison IMO. If the Big Ten doesn't go about this the right way (not saying they aren't), it could cost the universities involved some money and might do the exact opposite of what they are trying to accomplish. But I do agree that these articles are just becoming offseason filler. It's still better than fantasy speculation about next season or the public record listing of football arrests. Right? -

Why can't I have Erin Andrews? I mean, other than I can't dance and I haven't been stalking her proper like. So, no pinhole cameras for you lately? It's my opinion that... Michelle Beadle > The 2 chicks that do sideline hockey reports on Versus > Erin Andrews **Edit: The 2 from Versus are Lindsay Soto and Charissa Thompson, just FYI -
PS3 Freezing
GSG replied to HuskerNLimbo's topic in Tech Central - Computers, Games, Phones, A/V, etc.
I've had mine do that before. The first time was about 2 weeks after I bought it, so they fixed it for free. The second time was right after the warranty went out. I had to send it in and they fixed it for something like $100. I haven't had any problems since then. Is your software current on it? I've noticed that since I've been keeping mine updated I haven't had any problems. Other than that, I would call Sony or check the PS3 forums/help page for more information. -

This YouTube page has about 15 or so videos about this year's game. The run blocking looks pretty good in the one video, doesn't mean it will actually work when the game comes out, but at least they're trying. There's even a video showing all the facemasks available in the new version, some of which are quite interesting. http://www.youtube.com/user/ncaaStrategies -

CFN Link 1. I don't really like the idea of not playing all the teams in your conference at some point. There has to be some sort of rotation IMO. 2. I know some of you were talking about there being too many FBS teams. I'm sure they could cut some of the bottom feeders off. 3. This seems to be the issue that some schools are looking at. Everybody wants a slice of the pie, and now everyone wants a bigger slice that's equal to everyone else's.
