Oh, I don't think that's the case. That's saying Lucky, as a sophomore, is a better back than Bjax, a 2nd round NFL pick. Very lofty with little evidence...we shall see. I do think Bjax would start had he stayed, of course. He could be starting with the Packers.

CU was just plain confused...I'm sure everyone was. I mean, Ganz, the holder, lined up like he was in the shotgun, didn't he? I really liked the fake punt as well. The Lucky-to-Swift in the Texas game would be hands down the sweetest one of the year if we had won, and pretty much our whole game against CU was just fun. My favorite trick play from last season though - not a husker play - but Boise State's lateral against OU in the fiesta bowl on 4th and 19! That was amazing!

No. I thought it was an interesting insight. 90% of the time we shift, it's a run play? I didn't notice that, and I'll have to check for that next year and see if it's true. Besides, husker fan or not, he should be welcome here

Really? I've heard *lots* of worry from the sportswriters about moving him from end to the interior. It seems like the general consensus is they're not sure it's going to work well. But either way, I'll be cheering for him. Don't be so negative! How good was our D in 2005, the year Carriker put up those monster stats?

Any updates on Wilson? He's pretty much done for the year...well...his career here, is he? It's really sad, if he is. I hope Culbert moves back to defense. I know it's not bad having more RB depth, but I just feel like he belongs back there, whether it's with the linebackers or safeties. They need him back there too. Who'll be #3 behind Lucky and Glenn? I would expect Culbert if he stayed (if not #3, then PLEASE move him back to D! come on!) but otherwise Mendoza? Castille? Probably not Helu or Prince...

I remember he kept going on and on and on about how if he stacked 8 people in the box...how ignorant...did he even *watch* the 95 game? The commentators pointedly said that Florida was throwing 8 or even 9 guys to try to stuff the run against, and they couldn't do it. It was the same when Nebraska puts in the 3rd string o-line (I think, that's what the TV guys said anyway) and then had the 3rd/4th I-backs barrel down the field untouched...

Which is completely not true. Baylor would not sniff Missouri's shoes, much less Nebraska's. They're on the rise (you know who else is? Kansas!), but it's hardly like you can class the Big 12 as South-North, where all the north teams are worse than all the south teams. Maybe Baylor wouldn't be dwelling in the cellar of the North, but you can be sure they would be 4-6 material.

I have faith in Callahan. If many of the fans on this board were in charge, of course they'd have him back for USC because that's how they feel. But I believe Callahan made his call based on Mo the kid, and not on how "talented" he is or how much the team "needs" him. Teams are stronger than individuals.

I agree. Callahan has not shown the ability to call a good game and beat a top team. Also, NU has got ruffed up at home a few times in the past so it is possible. USC will probably win by 17-21 pts, and this is coming from a huge NU fan. Yeah, but if I recall, we had a vastly outgunned team bring OU to the wire (31-24) at home, and we all know about last year against Texas. In '02, we had a struggling team, outmanned clearly by Texas, but nearly pulled off the victory 24-27 but for some missed 4th down conversions and FGs. Let's milk that homefield advantage for all it's worth, cos it sure won't help us at Texas this year!

Yeah, I know, and I'm not trying to spoil the fun or anything, but just saying...if I went to some neutral school's board and saw something like this, I would leave with a little bit of distaste for the fans of that school. :shrug: I wouldn't want Husker fans to give off that impression, but anyway, it's a small matter. JMO.

On a more serious note, even if that were Dan Hawkin's wife, why should that affect your judgment of CU? I can accept rating CU down based on the behavior of those famous drunken frats and general classlessness, but on the flip side, this isn't showing a terrible amount of class either.
