Hell, I don't think NU has a receiver who could have made that catch. I would kill to have someone to just at least "react" to the ball and not just stand there until the reciever catches it, then try to tackle him.

I would want to play Arkansas since they are the SEC West champions. We need a good team to play against to springboard into next year.

I'm not sure what the thread starter's intentions are, but I will agree that play was INCREDIBLE. Too bad Nebraska does not have anybody that reacts to the ball the way that safety does.

Who knows, but it was Suxby that got used and abused in that 99 yard drive.

I would disagree because of the confidence factor that younger players have and how easily that can be damaged as opposed to a veteran's confidence. The coaches know more about how certain players will react to certain situations and if they are not playing the younger players, there is an obvious reason why. ...or........a young player learns from the mistakes and builds from there.

I agree with you sort of....... I don't think the cushion is the problem, hence the long touchdown pass where Suxby got burned by playing close. I blame the coaching staff for keeping Suxby in the game. They know that he's there weakest link. And he's the 1 player that brings this whole team down. Put in Thenarse!!!! You have nothing to lose. I'd rather have a freshman making mistakes than having a senior or a seasoned junior making those mistakes.

I think the Huskers are in a good situation here. If we win the Big XII, we go to the Fiesta, but the negative of that is we play in an unsexy matchup against Boise State. And I think that if we beat Boise State, the national response is not that "Nebraska is back to BCS form", it would be more like "Boise State was overrated", as far as the national attention goes. If we lose to OU, we could play Arkansas. And there is no doubt in my mind that this will be a tougher game than Boise. But if we can beat Arkansas, I think that NU would be more respected than if beating Boise State.

That's kinda what I have thought. How long have these kids been playing football? It's not as easy, but you don't see NU baseball practice catching the ball. Obviously tackling is a much different situation. Kids like Brandenburgh and Steinkuhler just seem have a natural talent for getting in the right position and wrapping up well consistently. But a D-coordinator at the D1 level should be able to notice an issue as fundamental as tackling and fix the problem.
