  1. Not to nitpick, but honestly, how could you possibly have confidence in Witt to do a good job when he's never even started a college game? Isn't he pretty slow too? All we've seen from him is some glimpses of adequate QB play in the spring game. Just not sure if Witt would be ready.
  2. I agree, I think by our new head coach, coaching in the NC it may help some of our boy's make up their minds. I think it may help some of our recruits make up their minds....or at least I'm hoping.
  3. ...Next year. Yeah, I understand that he showed great potential and I have nothing but respect for the kid because he has heart and is actually pretty damn mobile. He knows how to scramble. However, I think that Lee is definitely going to win out. Callahan didn't always play the best guy, as was painfully obvious this season, but I think with Bo and this new staff, the guys who know how to play, will play (including freshman, hopefully). Lee is bigger, faster, and stronger than Ganz in every way. He can do everything that Ganz can do, including scrambling, and probably a little better, plus his arm is dynamite. It sucks because Ganz has paid his dues to get where he's at, but I think it's going to be a competitive QB battle, but in the end, we're gonna be running our offense with Lee behind center.
  4. Haha! I just read this whole thread right quick, the creator of this thread probably needs a hug right about now.
  5. I don't know if you've noticed...but the BCS has been broken for quite some time now.
  6. Lucky stayed for his fourth year in my NCAA CF 08 dynasty and he won the Heisman so..... For you sticklers....
  7. As most of the members who posted have stated Missouri should have no problem with KSUcks. But hey,you might be right about a trap. After all who would'a thought Iowa State would beat sCUm. To be honest with you, I'm not surprised. Colorado is a fluke team, they've seemed to have lost the games they should've won this year and won the games they should've lost. Plus, it's Colorado, they're the epitome of doucheness.
  8. Dude, seriously? Who pissed in your cornflakes? Give it a rest, he's a missouri fan making friendly converstaion about their upcoming game, why isn't that allowed? Just cause we suck one year and they're good one year, doesn't mean you have to get your ovaries tangled. I thought we were going to get our asses handed to us by the pussycats, and we ended up blowing them out of the water....you guys shouldn't have any problem. And if you do, then it's because of the Pinkel factor. That hasn't happened yet this season...might be overdue...
  9. For me, it was the Auburn game last year. The fact that we had so many opportunitites to blow them out of the water and run away with a good solid win, but yet failed because Callahan always has his head up his ass and is completely incapable of doing any sort of adjustment when it's needed, really turned me off to him and I have wanted him gone ever since. I even wanted him gon prior to this season when I thought that we had a solid chance of taking the Big 12, he just doesn't fit in here at all.
  10. Actually I hear he probably won't commit to Mizzou since Dalton did. That Gabbert is not sold on the WCO. However if a new coach comes in and installs a spread offense that Gabbert will probably stay committed to NU. Yes....really....
  11. This sucks, we've already lost Gray, I know that Gabbert, Comtpon and Givens are soon to follow. I wish that recruiting didn't have to be affected at the level that it is because of all this turmoil. Why can't they just be content knowing that we'll find a new coach, he'll implement them into his system while they still continue to get a first class education for free at a top notch university. Times were so much simpler back in the day, nowadays, it's all about the player and what's best for his "NFL aspirations" it's just sad.
  12. I always thought it weird to have two mascots. Lil' Red and Herbie should go at it, a mascot cage match to the death....winner becomes our mascot.
  13. I just want all of us to shut up for a week too....so, yes...lets please win.
  14. Hey IBR, a pm message would be greatly appreciated over here too. Thanks!
  15. This was October of the 2005 season, I know because I saw the picture on a facebook photo album around that time.
  16. Ok, yeah well how do you define a few years? If you say within 7 or 8, then yeah, a few years....but I think it'd be that long before he gets the experience needed to run a program like Nebraska.
  17. Wasn't this thread supposed to be about Mucschamp? I swear everyone here types on this board with their pants off so that when they read Bo Pelini on the screen....well...you know....
  18. What? Really? Scott Frost before Turner Gill? Why, because he was a GA at K State? Turner Gill is older, wiser, and probably knows a little more football than Frost. What has he done to convince you he knows or would be more qualified to head coach than Gill? (I still don't want Gill as head coach, I just don't think Frost would be any better if not worse.)
  19. No I didn't watch the press conference...was he seriously not wearing any Husker gear? That'd be a first. Maybe Pederson raided his closet. I haven't watched every PC, but I've watched quite a few, and he's always been wearing Nebraska gear. Maybe it was his quiet way of protesting the Pederson firing. For his sake, I sure hope not. While he's quietly protesting Pedey's firing, I'm sure there's Regents, etc. that are quietly planning his "resignation."
  20. Probably doesn't have much of an opinion on the guy. I don't want a guy who hasn't had a head coaching job yet, I want a proven head coach that can come in and make things happen. That'd be the best thing for us.
  21. As much as I love the guy.....please No.
  22. No I didn't watch the press conference...was he seriously not wearing any Husker gear? That'd be a first. Maybe Pederson raided his closet.
  23. He's not meant to be "The Answer" as you say. He is meant to be a capable and competent human being that "for a short time" helps us keep the ship stable until we find time to hire an Athletic Director. I think this is a brilliant move and will come out good in the long run. TO was probably missing football life too....politics...ew....
  24. Just for our sake and the stability of our program, it'd probably be smart if he finished out the season....that way there won't be any more turmoil caused than there already is. I want our players to finish this season with the coaches they got, they began, they need to finish. Once the season is over, clean house.
  25. I'm sure he will, I'm just saying that it's too bad he's in the middle of a sh*tstorm for his one and only season at Nebraska, I feel for the kid.
