  1. I feel sorry for the kid. He had no idea what kinda mess he was getting himself into when he came two years ago. To be honest with you, I didn't either. This complete collapse has been shockingly unexplainable from a literal standpoint. But Keller must feel horrible. This is his only season to show what he's got and he probably thought he'd be able to do that, but then this happens. He's probably got the physical tools to make it in the nfl next year, I just wish his only year here at Nebraska was a good one. I'm sure he does too.
  2. This is just more proof why dogs are way better than cats. You would never see a cat trying to save your life....they'd probably walk over and pee on you just to show their superiority or whatever. I hate cats.
  3. Haha, you scored a 67' vertical jump that day?? Thanks for making me laugh out loud there. I needed that. I take it the snake didn't bite ya?
  4. Sheesh! This guy can't catch a break! I'm sure he's fed up with it too. He better stop getting injured or he won't be hearing anything from any NFL team. Injury prone cornerbacks aren't exactly "cream of the crop"
  5. ^^^ Dude, chill out. Bo Ruud is a solid linebacker. He'll do good things for us. And there's no need to yell....hurts our ears.
  6. Ummmmm.......bring a helmet Too bad we dont play at ISU this next year..........you could get any seat you wanted That's funny, cause it's probably true....and what's even funnier is that I went to the game in Ames this last year and the whole friggint thing sold out!
  7. Looks like John Beck, the QB of BYU started the first quarter of the shrine game, threw a touchdown...but other than that, didn't do anything else too impressive. The qb from Nevada started the second quarter, so expect to see Taylor in the 3rd. Hopefully he can cause some damage and we can see him back in there during the 4th too. Represent the Big Red Taylor!
  8. I decided to go with my huskerboard name on my license plate: GUYWITHUNORIGINALHUSKRNAME
  9. ScccHhhhhhhhhhhtop you shibba-shabba fucshtard....Kirk then crapped his pants and Lou smeared it all over his face looking very pleased with the whole situation when Bill O'reilly entered and started having phone sex with Kirk's brother.....
  10. Haha, thanks for the storytime hack...really, I was throughly entertained....around the Houston Nutt segment, I went and popped some popcorn! Steve Pederson is a great businessman and negotiator, and he has done a lot of great things for Nebraska. He likes to roll the dice which isn't a bad thing to do in college football, but sometimes he gets a little too risky, so far....we've been ok....but I think we could just as easily falter heavily from one of his decisions. However, I do think that SP and Callyhan got us going to where we need to go....you'd be hard pressed to find a team in the Big 12 that can match our momentum going into the season....I honestly do see us running the table because we'll only be a year smarter (duh) SP and BC just better not go bipolar on us.... time will tell though......time will tell
  11. Mahoney, I agree with everything you are saying there. And even though I wasn't around in the'50s, I am well aware that it's been that way since the day (which was a wednesday, incase you didn't know). What I was simply tyring to point out is the lack of loyalty that has doomed college coaching. Gone is the day when we could have a coach, a la Osborne, come in and coach for 25 plus years, there are very few left (JoePa, Bowden....are there anymore?) I just find it rediculous that coaches sit at a press conference before they start coaching at a school and talk about how they can't wait to get their fingers dirty in this program and see what they can do and how they are so happy to be part of the rich tradition that is blah blah blah....then two years later, straight up leave because a more lucrative contract comes along. I understand that it's capitalism, I understand that it's for more money and they are looking out for the well-being of themselves and their family, but to me, the whole world of college coaching has turned fake and plastic and the only thing it's about now is whose hot at the moment, because if you're hot, you are all of a sudden able to come in and coach a team to a championship. Now, after saying all that, I'm glad that Callahan is still here and I do see good things for the future, but I also see Callahan leaving a year after he brings us into the national spotlight just as fast as any of these other coaches, and why? Because, going back to my intial point, loyalty is dead....period.
  12. Corso looked over at Rosie, then at the unconscious Trent Green and yelled "FAHGET ABOUT IT!" and him and Rosie proceeded to do one another on top of the unconcious green, when all of a sudden.....
  13. In my opinion, coaching in college football is doomed and loyalty is dead. It left with Frank Solich and Tom Osborne and will never find it's way out because the NCAA is nothing more than what every other company in the US is, a power hungry corporation that wants nothing but money, and the coaches are their little pawns...
  14. Hey guys, here's a list of all the Big 12 teams playing in bowl games....look 'em over and predict how the conference will do in bowl play: Independence Bowl - Oklahoma State (6-6) vs. Alabama (6-6) Holiday Bowl - Cal (9-3) vs. Texas A&M (9-3) Texas Bowl - Rutgers (10-2) vs. Kansas St. (7-5) Sun Bowl - Missouri (8-4) vs. Oregon State (9-4) Insight Bowl - Texas Tech (7-5) vs. Minnesota (6-6) Alamo Bowl - Texas (9-3) vs. Iowa (6-6) Cotton Bowl - Auburn (10-2) vs. Nebraska (9-4) Fiesta Bowl - Oklahoma (10-2) vs. Boise St. (12-0) We have a pretty difficult bowl schedule...I'm having a hard time predicting the outcomes...unfortunately my gut is telling me that we're going to go 5-3....which is respectable, but we could do better. What do you guys think?
  15. It is a team outing, but unless they rented the theater out for the flick, it's still a public venue that people can go to. If I lived in KC and didn't hear about them as much as I would in Nebraska who had that information,I might go. Hell, if they saw you in husker gear, they might even say something to you! Never know!
  16. Come on now, you gotta give Arkansas some credit here! The SEC is the most solid conference in the nation by far, there aren't any issues with the conference, it's just that Arkansas has gotten THAT much better since the USC game and found out how to win. Their running offense is stellar and their defense is pretty solid. I would go out on a limb and say that Arkansas could beat any of the teams in the Big 12. I think that they're about to prove they can beat anybody in the SEC when they handily dispose of LSU (even with the the #1 defense in the nation) and Florida in the Championship. They're a very good team. Ok, I'm done ranting, I lived in Arkansas since I ws 3 and moved away from there about 11 years later, so I grew up a Hog. They're my 2nd favorite team to Nebraska. For awhile, Arkansas was being projected to play Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl for awhile, but they've been moved to the BCS bowls since. That would've been a helluva game though!
  17. Honestly though, that guy has an arsenal of about two moves....all he does is put his head forward and hope he finds enough guys smaller than him to barrel them down to the ground. Did you notice that on a lot of those plays when he was in a semi-open area, he would start stuttering his legs really fast together?? That got him nowhere..he just got hit and fell down... He doesn't have balance or agility, he's just big and has power...I'm not too worried about himI guarantee, our line and linebackers won't falter and he won't have more than 45 yards.....maybe not even a touchdown....at the most 1...just my opinion. However, that block he made that they show in the middle of the clip and right at the end......Daaaayum, that was about as good as the block John Ruud made back in '78.....he's a good football player....but will be contained. <--- Javorskie will have this embedded into his head after this game.....
  18. Came across this, laughed my ass off, watched it again, chuckled a little more....etc., thought you guys might like it too. (I stole the subject line from one of the replies because I thought it was quite clever and cause I'm unoriginal, hence my boardname.) Enjoy! GBR! Daniel's 3rd pick of the game
  19. Even though Colorado fans put up such a hateful front towards dem huskers, their still intimidated by hell by our fan power.....case in point.......... this is from allbuffs.conm from some sCUm lover names perthecamera... about 11,000 tickets remain for t-tech. that is seriously bad news. i remember a few games during the fairbanks era when my friends and i would just pick an empty section and spread out our stuff so that we'd have more room than the student section. no one cared because the stadium was so empty. i am glad we don't play the corn at folsom this year-- seeing them fill it up with red like the old days would suck. Haha!! Just more proff that the fans of scarlet and cream will always and forever rule the college football realm!! You guys all rock!! __________________
  20. poor guy, but in the end....the only thing you gosta really say is........
  21. Yeah...he doesn't look good at all....he is a vital asset to our O line and you could arguably say he was the anchor of this O line since Mann's been out. I hope he's ok.
  22. But who knows how reliable this is right now, it's still two weeks away and changes could occur, I mean...they have san jose st. against nevada for the 7 o'clock slot on ABC, I dont' know, but I doubt that will be the primetime game. THey have Iowa and Michigan on at 3:30, so I think this could change, but probably not.
  23. I think if we're smart, we won't use him as a decoy...but as a legitimate threat every time he's on the field. That guy is good, we just haven't really utilized him yet and I think he'ready! He is going to be very talked about come next season, especially with Keller. Not to take away from this great season, but I think we are a legitimate threat to win the championship next year with basically our whole offense back and a year better. But back at hand, ISU didn't show up....NU did, plain and simple! Cheers!
