As a fan stuck in Illinois, this ranks with one of those things that is great to see before you die My co-college-football-aficionado-neighbor is a Badger alumni and of course I will definitely be in Madison on October 1 with him (thanks Doug!), proudly wearing my Blackshirts BIG RED gear. Unlike when we brought the sea of red to South Bend and ticket's were easy to obtain, I suspect this one will be much harder for the Nebraska faithful. Start planning now, and wear BLACK RED! This is probably in the wrong forum but I need a quick response and everyone makes sure to read this forum. I have a business trip of all things in Omaha this week and I'm trying to put a little "Husker" in it. I have a group of employees that I wanted to take them out to Dinner. I was thinking of trying Jet's but want to make sure this place will be a good fit for my group. Is Jet's more of a "bar" or more of a restaurant? I'm having trouble finding much about it on the web since it's new. How's the food? Is it worth it or should I consider some other place? GBR TBJ from ChiTown

WOW What a night folks. Our ladies obviously did not bring their A game tonight as the first game looked awful. I had early feels this was going to be a short trip. Overall a very RED crowd (of course a portion of that was Badger fans decked in RED as if rooting for our Huskers). Still quite a few Nebraska faithful have made the trip tonight. I'm bad at numbers but it is in the mid to upper hundreds I would say. Tracy Stalls was the obvious MVP tonight as her play was what one expects these days from Husker Volleyball. M.State was excellent on the blocks in game 1 and 2 so it was hard for Pavan and Larson to get the kills we would expect. Houghtelling did play and did not seem to be bothered by any back issues. I'm bothered that the NU Pep Band did not make the trip. Thought the M.State crowd was small overall, they had their cheer and pep squad there and could easily drown out the Husker Nation. We need a A+++ game tomorrow. Good luck ladies and GBR!

I watched it and was enlightened. I never knew Iowa State's coach was a former husker from the '95 team. Now i'm hoping that the clones win tomorrow too so it will be nu - isu in the saturday match. Anyone else going to Madison tomorrow? I'm in the Chicago area so it's a no brainer for me especially since getting VB tix in Lincoln is a big pain.

Isn't this more about their "spirit" for the home team as apposed to how hot they are? Funny thing though. When i was in Lincoln for the A&M slaughter, I took my buddy "Badger fan" with me. We went to Misty's on Friday night and the pep squad came in along with her. CSTV was there doing some interview thing and they had her on the stairs during the interview. Yep, the view from below was very nice. Even some little 14 yrld kid had his eyes glued upward, thought his mom was gonna smack him. GBR

It will be televised (at least the Saturday game will be.) Since you are in NE Iowa, you should hop up to Madison, it's not that far away. Tickets are cheap too compared to matches in Lincoln.

Actually we all know that our team sucked this year and doesn't even deserve to be ushers or waterboys for a bowl game. But we also know the Big 12 North got screwed and Ohio State should NOT be in the NC game. Conferences without a championship game (that don't all play each other every year) should always have to play in the Wal-Mart "Low Prices" Bowl.

Does he need to? Osborne can remain "interim" until the contract is signed and recruit. Everyone being recruited knows Bo (no pun intended) would be the eventual HC.

Bottom line, he does NOT yet have a signed contract with NU which still makes him an LSU employee. If he defers signing a contract there should not be any NCAA violation and no reason he could not coach in the NC game. I also agree with those who say this would boost recruiting. It will have some effect and likely a good one.

With all the rumors floating around I'm getting a kick that ANYONE thought my list was serious. If you did, then wow you must not have had your morning coffee yet!
