  1. Great play! Get the ball to our playmakers....this offense continues to evolve.
  2. Take away the number of cable subscribers for the BTN to tap, I always wondered why Rutgers would even have been considered for BIG membership. I'll always look unfavorably on them for their treatment of the Navy Midshipmen who visited a few years ago: "Navy was booed and peppered with "You suck!" chants when they stepped on the field for both halves. Toward the end of the second half, Rutgers students in the new bleacher section began to serenade the adjacent section of Navy fans and uniformed Midshipmen. ''F--- you, Navy. F---you, Navy. F--- you, Navy." http://blog.nj.com/njv_mark_diionno/2007/09/obscene_fans_at_rutgers_draw_a.html
  3. If we hit rock bottom last week like the Debby Downers claim, we are now on our way back and this was the turning point.
  4. Bo taking notes on how to stop the jet sweep? Gordon just scored again....
  5. I guess that's what we said for a week now, It appears Illinois knew this going in, watched the film, exploited it and will win easily. Is the lack of a running game for Nebraska a matter of "can't" or "won't" Against Purdue, we only averaged 2.7 yards on 29 attempts. Tough to beat anyone with those stats and they were daring us to throw the ball. The results in throwing it was much better percentage wise....8.5 yards per ATTEMPT on 48 throws. Had we not turned the ball over 5 times, the results would have been different (DUH). When the box is stacked against the run, its on the game planning to find the soft spots going in or in making half-time adjustments. It also helps when your QB isn't throwing into double coverage. So, to answer the question directly, I don't think we 'can' because we lack a running game.
  6. How cool would it be to replay Tommie's run on the Jumbotron and then Spurrier steps onto the field from the sideline and salutes the fans in all 4 stadiums?
  7. My wife and I plan to drive down to Wichita State to catch the double header Saturday (12:00 and 5:00). Anyone from Wichita that can make a recommendation on a late lunch spot between the games in the Old Town (or other) area? GBR!
  8. I was in Dallas on business and read where the Morning News sportswriter projects us in the BWW vs Kansas State. Now THAT would be interesting. Too bad TM is injured or I'd be in the streets screaming "Martinez scores again!"
  9. Strength and Conditioning is a part of "coaching" How did that play have anything to do with S&C? I tried to respond to the post that said the defensive gem the first series "wasn't coaching" Please tell me how coaching had anything to do with that ONE play where if we would have made the tackle we get the ball back? Thats execution plain and simple PO - I'm expressing my observation (and this isn't the first time this season I've notice it as it is repititous ) that our kids are at a disadvantage strength wise in the trenches. And the huffing and puffing has me concerned about their conditioning too.
