  1. If you send a request in and you're able to donate, you can get ahead of the pack. It all depends on how much you're able to donate. For the auction this year for the new seats, about 33% of the people that agreed to donate $150/season/ticket got seats. Everyone that agreed to donate more got tickets. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter who you are or whether you are alumni or not, it's how deep your pockets are. I would suggest buying on the internet or scalping the day of the game. I've never went to the stadium and paid much more than face value. Usually I end up paying a few dollars less.
  2. Not impossible to get season tickets, just have to pony up the $. The allotment thru the ticket office is done for the year, though. You'd have to go thru ebay or something similar.
  3. I don't really care about the NBA either, but one of the reasons I watch is the Mavs because of Cuban. I love his passion to win. And the fact that he's willing to do whatever it takes. I think he's the best franchise owner in any sport. What I would really like to see is Mark buy a team like the Royals or Brewers and use his resources to build a winner in one of those markets.
  4. I would have to call it "douch-bag fever" myself.
  5. I was just on the OSU rivals site, and there are only about 15 people on there right now. They have something about Moevao on 5/29 and about 4 responses, but nothing on the free board about him. I'm guessing if the poll is 260-0, they couldn't even cut that in half because it's doubtful they have that many fans that care about their FB program.
  6. How long before they ask to legalize murder, rape, etc...?
  7. Is anybody able to save this clip as an attachment and send it via email? I've told numerous people at work but cannot view it at work because the website is blocked. I can watch video clips that are emailed as attachments. If anybody can do this and is willing to, email it to rjay26@msn.com. Thanks.
  8. ABC probably witnessed the CU fans embarrassing display last year and that may be why they're considering different teams for the date.
  9. How stupid! Let's see, I want to steal a car that people aren't going to recognize easily. How about a hearse!

  11. I think he was 2nd team Big XII according to College Football News.
  12. Look at the talent we have and it's easy to assume that our LB's will be much better than last year. We lost arguably our best LB in the 1st game, lost probably our 3rd best backer in the Ttech game, and were playing w/only our starting MLB in the bowl game. Our backups got valuable experience when the starters went down which will only help if it happens again. We have more talent at the DE spots than any other Big XII team, and experienced starting DT's with probably the most talented DT on the team (Suh) just waiting to explode. Opposing coaches are going to have to gameplan how to stop our front 4 and that will cause enough headaches by itself. Also factor in our CB's who are each capable of man-to-man coverage. If our safeties step up and our secondary can be relied on, our LB's will have a hey-day blitzing and wreacking havoc and will be an absolute delight to watch all season long.
  13. Have you ever ate at the training table at night? Lobster tails, steaks, steamed veggies, etc.....these guys get treated to a top$ meal every night! If they start paying the athletes, I want my kids going to college and eating at the freaking training table when I pay for room/board. Don't pay them. Where would it end? Star RB wouldn't be getting enough money, Big Donor would throw some $ his way, infractions, infractions, infractions. Bad idea.
  14. Sounds about right. $48/ticket, 7 games, $150 (?) donation = $486/seat.
  15. I was reading a KSUcks message board the other day, and they have Miami scheduled home/home for 08-09. Their fans were happy and thinking they needed more teams of that caliber instead of scheduling cupcakes each year. What I found funny is thinking that Miami was probably thinking that exact thing when they scheduled the Puss Cats. 2 easy wins! I would like to get a home/home series with most of the big 10+1 teams. Good games, and relatively short drives to watch the away game.
  16. I would be able to handle losing to USC and TX a LOT MORE than I could handle losing to the purple ass clowns again in Manhattucky. If we go down to KSU and lay an egg I may self-implode. However, I may already be gone if the season ends and we only have 1 win.
  17. So this is basically nothing new? Same controversy still in place like in 01 (Nebraska) and 03 (Oklahoma)?
  18. I was listening to the NFL draft the other day, and they were talking about a certain team (can't remember which one) that was going to have to get physical in the pre-season to get their ground attack back. One of the things they said the team would do was stress the run in practice and have full-pad scrimmages. The players (NFL) weren't going to be fond of that but that was what the team needed to do to get their swagger back. Now look at the Huskers. Hundredth-something in rush offense last year? That's garbage. This year we hear of the live scrimmages, of LB's blowing up our RB's and each RB nursing injuries. The practices SOUNDED physical as hell, and since I wasn't there I can't say they were more physical than in years past. But it definitely sounds like the emphasis was restoring the ground attack, and from the improvements this staff has made so far, I'm confident that we'll have a good running attack this fall. As far as Beck is concerned, he was coming along very nicely last year in preparation for the bowl game. I'm sure he would struggle initially if he was thrown into a game, but I think he's smart enough and talented enough to be a good, if not great QB in this system. Taylor is probably the best thing that could have happened to Beck. Taylor has taken a ton of pressure off Beck.
  19. Barry Sanders? For RB, I really wouldn't mind seeing Lucky/Glenn share some carries. Keep defenses off balance, like USC did w/Thunder and Lightning, or Auburn w/Cadillac and Brown. I've also talked to a few people that know Kenny Wilson and said he will definitely be a factor at RB when he gets here. On film he is a solid run blocker and he's really strong and really fast as well.
  20. Grixby can do it. you remember that guy, wears the number 2 jersey. the recruit in the 2004 recruiting class who went honorable mention All-Big XII last season. Grix was a CB in HS, the kid KSUcks has apparently has never played defense. To tell you the truth, I love their recruiting methods, it'll really look nice the next few years when we're kicking their heads in. What I heard is that Prince and staff are simply going after kids that can run fast.
  21. Take the PUSSYcat's #'s for what you will, but they have signed no highly recruited guys, and the players they have signed from Kansas and Missouri were not even offered by the in-state schools. Mangino and Pinkel almost always offer the top talent in the state, and I belive only 1 kid had another offer from any other school. Hell, they offered a 5'9 QB from the state of Arkansas that not a college in Arkansas had offered. He was surprised to have even gotten an offer from KState.
  22. The Yankees are the reason baseball went from America's Pasttime to now being considered the 3rd or 4th most popular sport in America behind NFL, NBA and hell, even NASCAR. In a few years Soccer will be more popular. I hate the Yankees.
  23. Beck will likely play Saturday. MRI's are precautionary, and Beck's confirmed no severe damage.
  24. Living in the past? They may have improved their record, but they weren't bringing in the talent to succeed. There are very, very few Husker fans still out there that are ignorant enough to still not see and believe this. Now it is VERY obvious that the ship is sailing in the right direction. We are probably going to have our best season this year since 2001. We have talent again like TO used to bring in. Players have bought into this system and are excited to be Huskers again. Our talent level never should have dipped to what it was 3 years ago. That's Barney's, Bo's, Frank's, Marvin's, etc..fault.
