Having Suh as one of the Huskers best players as a redshirt freshman= #1. Happy Husker fans. #2. A very good Husker interior defensive line. And most importantly... #3. Opposing teams going through hell. This is great news. This kid is already awesome and is only going to get better in the years to come.

I like the fact that our fans are respected so much throughout the country as being the greatest fans in college football. I hope all of our fans continue to show class this weekend-win or lose.

Reasons why Nebraska wins this game: #1. Players and fans are more fired up than Texas'. #2. Homefield advantage. The intangibles are starting to mount up. They are the reasons one team beats another equal team.

At the beginning of the season, many analysts, fans, etc. pointed to October. They said that however good/bad the Huskers do in this month will define our season. So far we have done well this month and I think in the Texas game we have a legitimate chance of winning and to me the Oklahoma St. game should be nearly a given. If we win the Texas game we will likely have a 4-0 record in October after many thought we would do no better than 3-1 in this month. What does our success in this month tell us more about the team? That our gameplans aren't as bad as the fans like to say they are or that the team and overall talent is better than people thought?

What about a current Husker?- Major Culbert

This is very important for multiple reasons but most importantly because it forces their offense to get one-dimensional when we get up big early. All of us agree that our secondary is the weakest part of our defense. Do you think the defense would have an easier time stopping them if we knew what they were going to do or if we had to look out for play-action and runs as well?

I agree with gamecocks, the voters only look to see if you win/lose. They don't put much stock into how much you win by as long as you win the games you're supposed to. When you really move up is when you beat someone you're not supposed to.

It's nice to see that we have finally gotten some of the props we deserve. However, it would still be nice to see more people taking notice. Across the nation very few fans or analysts even know we exist. Let's make a statement this Saturday and get them all to take notice.

That would be too bad. We really need to keep these Nebraska studs in state. I have been pretty impressed with the amount of effort Cally has been putting into recruiting these players- now we just need to get them to commit.

McKeon. I haven't heard anything official about Octavien lately. Only fan speculation and I've heard some expecting him to be back soon others think it could be basically season ending.

The Nebraska vs. Oklahoma St. game gets the 2:30 slot as an ABC telecast.

That's pretty disappointing. I was hoping it would be here. It is good publicity and I wanted to go there and get on TV.

I watched the Callahan show last night and Callahan said he should be back for the Texas game.

I am young so I haven't been following recruiting for very long, but I was wondering how many 4 or 5 star players we are looking at producing next year. I was also wanting to know If this would be the best year in Nebraska's history as far as producing stars that colleges all over the country are trying to get. If not can you tell me about what year and who all was in that class?

I know in recruiting stars aren't everything, but I like to see us get recruits that are 4 or 5 star players. It is also nice to see some of these higher rated players come out of Nebraska. Does anyone have any clue how many stars he may be garnering come this time next year?

I have hear recently that he is becoming very close to commiting. There is almost no doubt that it will be us. Ohio State among other big names are behind us but we seem to be far and away his leader. We are recruiting him to play safety- a position he feels his future is brightest at.

Has anyone heard how high we are on this kid's list? I know we were right up there but from what I heard it was gonna be VERY tough to beat Iowa out for this kid's services. I hope he really likes his visit this weekend.

Looking at the talent we will be returning I would say that he probably will be redshirting. However, when he went to traing with Ahman this last summer all of the Packers were wondering why Ahman was training with the rookie. Ahman said he wasn't he was a senior so all of the guys asked what college he was attending. Green was like no- in high school. Needless to say they were all very impressed by his athletic ability and talent as a high school player. If he already looks like an NFL player- he may get some immediate playing time. Either way, he is going to be an animal for the Huskers in the future.

There are way too many Husker players that I just love to watch play so I won't get into all of them, but Brandenburgh and Maurice Purify are among my favorite on the team. I love Brandenburgh and in my opinion he is one of our best if not our best linebacker. Gotta love the way he'll lay the wood to a guy. Every time I see Maurice Purify on the field I get all excited and start yelling to everyone around me telling them he's in the game. He seems to be our go-to guy whenever he's in the game. His big, athletic body makes him a great receiving threat and he never drops the ball!

I am one of the guys that doesn't see anything wrong with Callahan's gameplan for the USC game, because if we get a couple breaks(make the interceptions instead of drop them, Lucky doesn't fumble) it's a whole different game. One we could have won. However, I think that although Texas's defense is not as good as USC's we may need a little more balance. I trust Callahan's judgement and think he's one of the best coach's in the county. I can't wait to see what gameplan he comes up with and it won't bother me no matter what it is.

It coulda been I couldn't remember for sure. If that's the case... we have had many, many plays that would fit under that category this year.

Why is Ron Brooks not on this list? I thought he was supposed to be here for this game.

It is great to see this many 3 and 4 star players coming. I hope that most make it for their visit. It would be awesome to get many of them to commit. For those of you going to the game- lets give them something to be impressed by.

I remember hearing that the coaching staff keeps track of the big plays each game(but they used a different word than big). They characterized these plays as being 20+ yd runs and 40+ yd passes. IIRC they said that they hoped we would have 5 per game. Does anyone know how we are coming with this? I know we are way ahead of 5 per game but I was looking for more precise stats.

I feel that it is very important that we get McKeon back for this game against Texas. Not only do I think he is our best linebacker, but more importantly I feel he is our fastest linebacker (remember when he ran the ISU receiver down from behind last year). We will need his speed to help contain the Texas team speed.
