talk about something way out of left field but somehow still seems credible. i could see it happening but it all goes against the info that Bo and Gill are the top two candidates.

it's definitely possible. you can bet that TO will market this next season hard, so it might just happen.

1. Watson can stay. I don't think the coaches staying brings bias. If anything, bias would lean towards character and not ability. If a kid can play, he will. 2. We've got talent, it just either got put in the wrong places or they weren't trained enough for the kind of football that's being played now. 3. It's a love/hate relationship. The production values at FSN are shiite and ESPN just blows everybody out of the water with their's. Chris Berman is the biggest idiot on the planet and no one needs to hear opinions on sports EVERY SINGLE DAY, especially if it comes from Jay Mariotti, Woody Paige, or Dan LeBetard

I think this quality gives Turner and Bo the leading positions for the job over the other candidates. Kelly, Grobe, and Johnson seem to be wavering in their "want" of the job. It's not that Nebraska wouldn't be a great job to go to, it's that they have a great job, are probably settled within the city, and generally don't want to leave unless it's their absolute dream job. Nebraska is Turner's dream job. It might not be Bo's but we are DEFINITELY his TOP CHOICE. Take that for what it's worth, but IMO, I believe that this factor has to play a part. If TO sees any doubt in a man's eyes about leaving, then he's not gonna throw the money at him to convince him to leave.

Why did they turn the job down? Can you further explain that? I cannot tell you why Nutt, Tedford, the offensive coordinator for the KC Chiefs, Urban Meyer and others all turned down interviews or bowed out after interviews. I can however state that they bowed out and that this does indicate that the position then was not an elite position. Elite positions excellent people fight to get and the potential employer gets their first choice. So, 4 years ago the NU position was not elite --- Cally, surprise, surprise, was a fall back (he was along the lines of the 6th person or so contacted). The NU position is less elite, by a wide margin, now. They turned down the job because Pederson is a numb nuts who, for all intents and purposes, didn't "call ahead" first with a search firm. He was to full of himself that he thought he could do it alone.
