not unlikely that cincinnati will lose this week on the road vs pittsburgh. the way a 3-win illinois team moved up and down the field on them makes me think cincy is a paper-bearcat and has benefited greatly from a soft conference.

i like our chances. the o-line is starting to gel and i am becoming more and more impressed with lee. he is a tough guy and i think he will do okay next week. the defense is making big plays when it needs to and, while people will argue that we haven't played an offense like texas, i am quite certain they haven't played a defense like ours. i think bo and the boys will surprise a few people next week.

i know this has been beaten to death this year and people argue that you can probably call holding on every play, but i was so pissed watching the muggings performed by the CU line today and the lack of calls by the referees. the state of college football is as if you are penalized by the referees for having a dominant d-line because the o-lines are allowed to essentially take down the d-linemen as they run by them. it has become ridiculous!

The explanation that was given was that it was required. Not sure what the rule book says. ON another note...its a damn good thing their kicker missed those two FGs or we might have been lining up to defend against a two point conversion try and a trip to OT. Good point but not necassarily, The defense came up with stop aafter stop (missed fg's i know, but still held them out of the endzone) when the game was close and in question. Seemed like we simply fell asleep every time we got up by 2 scores. That is true. The D did seem to go into cruise control mode once they hit 14 up. Barring the usual litany of injuries and obvious incompetence, CU is going to be dangerous next season. yeah, 10 wins and no excuses, right? the only team CU will be dangerous to next year is themselves.
