  1. looks like the huskers want to choke this one away
  2. i guy who has missed 10 of his last 11 FGs, nothing longer than 32 yards, and hits his season long against us is not a good sign. hmmm.
  3. because the teams that we are matched up against on national TV are good and we are not there, yet.
  4. I know a really good Cajun restaurant in Shreveport. fantastic!
  5. this reminds me of 2001. i don't think NU will be invited to the gator bowl. phoenix here we come (or maybe shreveport?)
  6. cheer for what. a third down sack? a touchback on the punt?
  7. therell got caught looking in the back field. CU will exploit that all day
  8. a little overconfident. better get it straightened out
  9. since nebraska had the week off and i needed my husker fix, i started looking around the internet for free, past husker games. anyway, if you go to huskerpedia, look at the results of the 1976 season, and then click on the bluebonnet bowl link, you will see a URL for the video of the game. the link actually takes you to a site that has a bunch of old replays from when the old Mizzlou (sp?) broadcasting network would broadcast the minor bowls (liberty, holiday, bluebonnet, tangerine, etc) back in the 1970s and early 1980s. they also have the feed from a game called the PAC-10 Big 8 Olympia challenge cup, which was an all-star game played after the season in the old Kingdome. anyway, current offensive line coach barney cotton plays in this game as well as former nebraska quaterback tom sorley. one of the most entertaining things about these broadcasts are that they contain the old commercials from that era, i.e. Grecian formula 16, TUMS for the tummy, and olympia beer. does anyone else know where a person can watch old vidoes of past husker bowl games for free?
  10. although a bit old now, i have inidcated before that jason peter (now) looks a helluva lot like the actor ben cross (from chariots of fire).
  11. most points given up by a husker team in the first quarter...ever. another record! yeah!
  12. Stoops won't do that...he'll leave us broken with a solid 50 and call it a night. he might not intentinonally do it, but games like this have a way of getting out of hand. what is he going to do? take a knee at the goal line each time they drive inside our 10 yardline?
  13. i thought the days of giving up 70+ points were over. i guess not.
  14. ricketts was much better than o'hanlon.
  15. really? i think the iowa state's new uniforms look great. i really like the stripe orientation on the jerseys and even like the helmets although the single "I" with the state written vertically insde the "I" would look better.
  16. if we punch that in that is the ball game. not too worried, but that touchdown would have been nice. i hope that doesn't give iowa state teachers college (the high school after high school) a spark.
  17. this will be a turnover plagued game for the huskers. i thought nebraska had turned the corner last week. doesn't look good.
  18. Well if I was on the team I'd be chomping at the bit for next week's game. The 7th ranked team in the nation was lucky to get a win in OT off of a qb hit/duck throw. There's absolutely nothing to be afraid of. People should be afraid of playing NU. nobdoy is afraid of playing nebraska. just ask the san jose state coach. this game was an aberration for this season. they missed their opportunity.
  19. we need touchdowns. ttech is scoring touchdowns. we should have gone for it. we aren't going to win playing conservatively.
