  1. Yeah, Kevin Cosgrove's son (I'll keep his name to myself for now) goes to my school, and I know he probably hears stuff in the halls about his dad. I don't think that his son specifically is getting made fun of, ridiculed, etc., however. For all of the stuff going on though, he seems to be handling everything surprisingly well. One of the worst things that I know of is this: his son is the main punt returner for my school football team(which is a certain high school in southwest Lincoln). In a game against a very bad team with no wins or class, he was about to return a punt. The opposing team's student section began to chant "Fire Coz, Fire Coz." That probably hurt quite a bit. All this stuff going around about BC and KC getting harrassed and threatend really makes me wonder where are the "greatest fans in CFB" at. they are both big boys and know it comes with the territory when you don't produce. harassing the family is a another matter; however, i think alot of the harassment to the family is mere here say and simply put out there to drum up sympathy for callahan and cosgrove.
  2. from what we found out at the press conference today he is a big LIAR!
  3. i wonder if it is the same custy old fart that usually has a weekly posting during the season on huskerpedia. he always seems to have a lot to say regarding the state of the team, althouh most of it seems like BS.
  4. Think his last name is Klink as a Colonel in the German army and running Stalag 13 little is know about his affiliation of Nebraska football. We suspect that Sergeant Schultz has been running the defense the last four years. When asked the DC was heard repeating "I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!" over and over. HOOOOOOGAAAAN!!! "every night is saturday night when you're with honeyhofbrau and the stuttgart steppers"
  5. the writer of this article is spot on. callahan simply needs to sign on the dotted line, collect his enormous severance package and walk away. this isn't about pride anymore or hanging in there until the bitter end because he feels he owes it to the players and his coaching staff. enough already. it can only get worse. it won't get any better.
  6. i can't stand either and hope they play to a 0-0 tie. i then hope earth opens up and sucks that half-wit pinkel and that fat-slob magnina down to hell, although knowing my luck the hole won't be large enough and that fat-ass mangina will get stuck.
  7. Score: KSU 42 NU 14 Nebraska rushing: 82 yards Nebraska Passing: 306 yards
  8. i am "looking forward" to the future SI article in the actual magazine documenting the fall of the husker empire. that is, if we still warrant such media attention. this has gotten out of hand and needs to be stopped. i was originally onboard with the idea of keeping callahan and his band of dullards until the end of the season; however, after todays debacle he has to be let go. as had been brought up on this board before, we have fired a head coach before the end of a season and that, in terms of winning the bowl game, turned out okay. no reason (except maybe a financial one) to keep him around. today was beyond bad. 76 friggin' points to kansass. pathetic!
  9. it has probably been brought up before, but i just read this quote on the ESPN's recap of todays game. the KSU quarterback must be licking his chops. "In what must be another embarrassing note for Nebraska, Reesing could be in line to become the fifth player in a row named Big 12 offensive player of the week after playing the Huskers."
  10. i kind of doubt he would resign on his own volition. only two games left and he must have some pride. he would have to be shown the door first.
  11. hi all. can anynone think of another major college football program that has fallen this hard this fast after nearly 40 years of domination. some might say oklahoma in the 90's, but wasn't that more gradual? gibbs and had some success and then they bottomed out with blake so it was rather gradual. hell, we played for the conference championship and a BCS bowl last year. maybe notre dame, but they might be excused since they are starting alot of freshmen and sophmores. we are starting guys who have alot of experience and would seem to know what it takes to win.
  12. something this bad, will take several years to fix. i hope we never see anything like this again, ever. i agree completely with your assessment that this debacle will take several years to fix. hopefully we are the bottom of this conrhusker recession.
  13. i can't believe i wasted four hours of my day listening to this debacle.
  14. this is the worst loss so far in a season full of "worsts". can not believe it.
  15. it got this bad and the coaches got the extension, because the AD we had, was a self absorbed idiot. Cal hasn't gotten fired because of buyout issues(rumors) and Osborne said he would evaulate at the end of the season. Osborne is a man of his word and it will happen. I don't think with play like this Osborne would even consider retaining Cal, or any of the crew. But time will tell. no way will callahan be retained. i wonder if osborne will reconsider his initial wait until the end of the season stance. i agree with a lot of posters on this board that say now it doesn't matter if we keep until the end of the season. this season is effectively over.
  16. i have the notre dame-navy game on now and it is so nice to watch a team run a precision option running attack.

  18. predict the final score. i think ku has at least one more touchdown left in them. although, with a couple of more interceptions they could reach 90. woudn't that be something.
