  1. At the end of the day this comes down to a gamble on being able to leverage the athletic talent of Sims and improve upon his turnover issues. That gamble has failed spectacularly and completely and there is no back up plan. Should be Purdy as QB1 from here on out and let’s the chips fall as they may. Sims should be out and HH either out or repurposed to TE. Neither of them should ever take a snap for this team again. Hope for the best in the portal. On to Wisconsin who isn’t in much better shape and definitely beatable if we can devise a low risk game plan on offense for Chubba. GBR
  2. Totally with you on this. I did t like the Satt hire but I just think it’s hard to fully judge him based on the tools he has available right now. Also agree the plays calls at the end weren’t great but the play calls to get them down there were pretty damn good. It’s a work in progress and the verdict on him is out for me right now. We can’t just burn the house down every time a coach makes a bad play call
  3. First down play was not a called pass. It wasn’t even an RPO. It was a run. They blew it up and Purdy pulled the ball and rolled out because of that. Rhule said that in his presser
  4. I honestly can’t remember one this bad. Like not even close
  5. Agree. I’m coming off like I am a huge Satt supporter but it was the one hire I was iffy on. I just think the verdict is still unclear. He literally has nothing to work with and constant knee jerk coaching fires are rarely the way to get better quickly. If we get a decent average QB and the offense is still horrid, then show him the door. But not now
  6. Rattler was better at the end of the year. He had his two best games ever against two legit programs. Sounds like he improved. Stats say he improved at the end of the year. SC fans can say whatever they want. He got better. He developed. Doesn’t happen overnight
  7. Yet he was also the coach of a QB last year that threw for 3000 yds had a 67% comp % and upset Tennessee and Clemson. So he forgot everything in the last year? Or maybe he’s been tasked with two completely talentless QBs who couldn’t be coached to competence by Sean Mcvay or anyone else for that matter Maybe he’s not the right guy. I just want to see a QB that is close to average and what they look like in the offense
  8. Or they inherently don’t have the ability to read a division 1 defense despite all attempts to coach them. If Satt was the OC and let’s say Rattler was here. Do you think the results would be the same?
  9. I’m not on the fire Satt bandwagon to be clear but I totally agree with your view on the last drive I’ll concede that for sure. I just think it’s incredibly hard to devise a winning formula when your only choice is to be completely one dimensional. And I think he is doing the best you can hope for when you literally do not have a real QB on the roster. And I’m talking about his performance this year as a whole, which is how he should be judged, not the last drive of the game. You have to get three there
  10. Sorry but I’d keep Purdy as a backup if he wanted to stay. The other two can’t be gone soon enough after today. I don’t give a rats a$$ where they are from. Suck is suck
  11. I say give Purdy 1st team reps now and start him next week. Teams already have enough tape to see how to stop the O with HH and his passing is 100% not fixable. His mechanics are trash. Don’t need to game plan for Sims because he will eventually implode and beat himself. Purdy may have enough unknowns to be able to squeak out a win. But my god what a s#!t show this is rn
  12. I agree. The offense has been going backward because it was simplistic due to HH being a ridiculous quarterback. Teams got film and that was that. You can’t keep bringing a knife to a gun fight. You have to open up the playbook. The pass call at the end was a bad choice tho. I will at least agree that you have to get the 3 there
  13. I can’t explain the pain of being a Nebraska and Steeler fan. The offenses I am forced to watch each week…
  14. I can’t say I’m expecting much from Purdy either. If he hasn’t played with what we’ve already seen this year I can’t imagine what we are in for
  15. We are setting back the game of football 50 years with Maryland today.
  16. He also threw two awful picks one of which the refs bailed us out on. It’s a high stakes game of who is worse at QB today
  17. Yeah he got a little careless with it at the end of that run
  18. This is correct. The Sims pick happens to all QBs at some point. The HH picks were flat out thrown to opposing players no where near a receiver. Coleman could’ve prevented that pick. Totally different then the Haarberg throws
  19. The pick was bad but Sims is running the offense better. The only chance we have to win going forward this year is starting him. He got some nice throws into tight coverage that last drive. At least teams have to think about him passing. And we don’t lose anything in the run game with him. I think with first team reps he will give us our best chance
