I'm happy and proud to be a Husker fan. I am not happy about how things have transpired this year, and I am not proud at how somethings have been handled, by fans, coaches, and players. However, despite the trials and tribulations from this season I will continue to love the Huskers and think we're going to win every game we have on our schedule. I still believe we have one of the greatest fans in college football if not college football although this season is truly testing our patience and resilience as fans with a team who is underachieving and answers are unfortunately few and far between for those of us who want answers right away.

Hey, it's not necessarily you being wrong at all. You're not actually. I guess they are just trying to do a few new things around here. Obviously, Nebraska isn't too accustomed to "new" things aside from stadium additions and obviously the WCO...but overall, it's not that bad of an idea. You definitely aren't the only one to think this. You know, from a visual stand point, it would be something else if 84,000+ were all in black as being the opposing team coming out to the stadium and expecting nothing but red, it'd be just as intimidating in a way as all red. It's all good though, we all know it won't happen.

They are ridiculous, but in light of what has transpired with our defense...I think it's more of a motivating factor and showing we still believe in them. I could be wrong. I know it shouldn't take a "B******" that won't happen to motivate those young men, but the fact remains I suppose.

Good for him. I just hope there aren't any issues signing Carriker. I hate 1st round hold out guys, that's so irritating. Carriker doesn't seem like someone who would get an agent that would do such a thing.

More 3-4 stunts would be good against Nevada. They have that quick strike offense like Tech. Not literally, but the dishing out of passes is quick and short. I have no problem with some 3-4, I just don't want to see it become the base defense. Like stated by many of you...the Big XII is full of teams that just want to run it all over you...so switching the defense up could help a lot. Especially when other teams obviously watch film. They think they might see a certain base or style, but then we switch it up when we play them.

My only qualm really is that nearly every time we've gotten into the 3-4 we've been burned. Even last season, we got burned. Now we have more talent at LB (or at least it seems, along with health) this season...so it could work. It's just, I don't know if I'm down with Nebraska being a base 3-4 team.

Serious meltdown. In 2005 we got behind but came firing back. In 2006 we got up on the opponents and let them come firing back. We simply just let up on offense and defense. And yeah, Shanle...our defense will be better without him. We have guys that want to hit, not just be in on a gang tackle.

As sort of stunts, yes, but base defense...not for it. We don't have the talent on the line to do that just yet.

On just about any NFL related site (ESPN, FOX, etc) is saying that he won't need surgery after all. That there is enough time for it to heal.
