  5. Is someone holding a gun to your head and forcing you to click on these threads? Obviously there are more than a few of us who would like to discuss these issues. The problem is you don't have enough of those little red "N's" under your name. You see, "Newbies" are not entitled to their opinions on this board. Only the experienced posters are entitled to an opinion. If you have less than seven "N's" under your name you are not worthy This is true......... Thanks....RICHARD
  6. i agree enough about this THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD. You tell me what its for if its not for posting messages
  7. Just curious Trojan Alum, what are the first three songs the Trojan band plays at each game? The only song I can remember is that hideous, monotonous, plodding, fight song. The words are below: This is the only song we know It's boring and it's slow Our SAT's are loooooow. Dont forget the next line............. On the fifteenth we'll blow! JK! The "monotonous" fight song you're talking about is Tribute to Troy, or at least the opening part of it (Fanfare). It's one of the more militaristic fight songs in the nation, and contrary to popular opinion it isn't played after every play - just after every defensive stop and turnover. "Fight On" is the school's official fight song and it's played after every first down and touchdown. My personal favorite is Conquest, which comes after touchdowns and victories. At the beginning of the song the USC partisans shout "Beat... the [insert mascot]" and during the major part we kind of uulate. Hard to describe. The TMB backed Fleetwood Mack when they recorded Tusk, and all USC fans shout "U-C-L-A sucks!" during the refrain. (Is it the refrain? I'm musically challenged.) Yes, the songs are incessant. Yes, they get into the heads of opposing fans and teams. And yes, that's the way I like it. The band has not missed a USC game in twenty years. It always takes a full complement to Notre Dame, but I don't know if the entirety will be in Memorial on Saturday. Okay, here I go . Listen Bro, I’m from Southern California and I know many arrogant USC alumni (arrogance pretty much describes all of them, still trying to figure out what they feel so arrogant about. None of them has ever been smart enough to explain it). I also know a couple who were in the band and are now band directors at high schools. Both of those band directors took high schools with perfectly good fight songs and long traditions and basically turned their fight song into that piece of crap “Fight On.” They also use that “Tribute to Troy” something like a thousand times a game (just like USC). USC fans are under the mistaken opinion that people care about them (and their band). It’s the same mentality as the idiot Raider fans in the “Black Hole” up in Oakland. As if anyone else gives a crap. No, the song does not “get into the heads of opposing fans and teams.” We all just think it is stupid. And we think you are stupid for thinking we give a sh#t what you do. It’s kind of like when you were in grade school and there was that annoying little puke who was a social outcast, and who always said something inappropriate, and when you called him on it his response was to keep repeating “I know you are but what am I?” It didn’t get into any of the normal people’s heads. It just left us wondering how anybody could be so pathetic. THAT is what it is like when your band plays that piece of crap Troy tribute over and over and over and over and over and over again. WOW... you should stop holding back and say whats on your mind

  9. Once again your putting words in my mouth .I never said McKeon is going to be moved to outside, what I'm saying is that in almost every defensive system the MLB is the most physical of the group(ours included) because they are constantly taking on blocks by O-linemen and FB's coming through the line with a head of steam. For some reason you are convinced that being a OLB requires more strength and size than ILB and that couldn't be further from the truth. I know Bradley was bigger than McKeon and he played OLB but maybe it was because of his speed or maybe he was not physical enough to play in the middle. Like I said I not saying he's changing but if he isn't it has nothing to do with him not being physical enough to play outside.
